chichiri, to dismantle a cube turn the top section 45degrees so it's at an angle to the rest, then you should be able to prise one of the corner cubes off, the rest should be easy - except putting it back together can be a pain sometimes. And does anyone know a good source of lettered stickers, on squares about 7mm across, preferably in silver or some sort of holographic background? Mine's just got biro letters on at the moment and I want to upgrade(although the biro'd cube is better than my original attempt - dice, cardboard and lots of blue tac)

The 'unsolved' tag is due to the fact that we think there is more to some of the cards. We solved the puzzle, but there may be more to this.

The background of this card scratches off, I've not tried to scratch it all off as it's my only copy. Did anyone else notice this?

scratch and sniff? Scratches off? Can you show a screenshot of the area you scratched? Might just be poor printing, but thats unlikely considering the quality of these cards. A nice shot of what might be under the cards surface might be useful.

FYI mine doesn't scratch off - even if you accidentally spill Tango on it!

I looked through my box of old puzzles - Rubik's Magic, Rubik's Clock, Rubik's Snake, another Rubik's Snake, Rubik's Pyraminx, Rubik's Triamid, Rubik's Dice, Ah, a cube! Gaaah it's Rubik's Revenge - really, I only have the 4 x 4 version! No 3 x 3 cube, I used to have 3 of them but they've all gone missing...
However I did have some 21mm square-ended lengths of wood, a bandsaw, and a roll of sticky-back velcro. Built in 3 hours, Solved in under 30 minutes, the only silver I haven't needed a push in the right direction to solve.
Now if only I could get my hands on the actual card ...
EDIT: Got it, that's Wave 2 sorted

Orientation Hi - solved this fun one but my cube does have a few letters that are in the wrong orientation. I haven't yet tried to "resolve" it to fix that, so I was curious if others have hit the same problem.
Specifically, some of the center letters. Using normal cube solving sequences, the "orientation" of the center piece is irrelevant, so I wonder if it is trial and error to get all six of them to line up correctly...

FYI re the comment above about the background scratching -- all the silver cards have a scratchy-offy problem. All this ink is sitting on top of the slick silver card stock, and unlike the other colors of cards, it's not adhering quite as tightly. So be careful when you scratch!

its visible from the border up to the silver strip up the top i read something about micro-text should i put my card under a microscope perhaps
oh and it may be a printing defect I'm not sure its a wave 0.5
and sorry if someones already posted this but i didn't have time to go through the questions and meta section

These Lines are really common on the silvers.
I have one of Differrently Lethal and one on Billion to One. And those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. It must just be the way they are printed.

It's unlikely that it's the same...
The difference with the Roaming identity text was that if you look at it very carefully you can make out that its text but you can't read it without a magnifying glass.
As Mac_monkey says its really common to get marks in the silver borders...
