[SPEC] My take on the theft

This is my theory on the theft. Although I've only been around for a little while. I think that what might have happened is:
Somebody (probably C) on the VKQC team recognised V's evil intentions, and blabbed to somebody good (possibly Violet?) who organized a team, broke in and stole the cube before V could get to it. During the theft, maybe the cube was accidentally activated, meaning that it was transported to Earth.
Going even more speculative, maybe Fran Mendling was part of the team who did steal it, and died as a result of misusing the cube. Final piece of speculation: maybe somebody was transported to earth with the cube, and has written a message on the cards. One heck of a lot of speculation I know, but I'm an academic, lord have you.

Nice take on things, but I am sticking with 'the third power stole the cube, but during transportation they were seperated from it, the cube mysteriously landed on tony blair's head, causing him to lose all remote snippits of intelligence he had ever accumulated.

This is proven due to the fact that he was perfectly fine in his decisions until early 2004 (coincidence, methinks not).

but to knock that much intelligence out, the cube must be pretty heavy. Woohoo, we discovered something else about it.

Anyway, on with the story, blair, being the evil genius that he is,realised the true power of the cube straight away, buried the cube under his house, using the excuse that he was just disposing of evidence against him.
Now he leaves the queen blissfully unaware that upon the next election, just when he is about to get chucked out of office, he wiil use the apocalyptic power of the cube combined with his newly developed rubks cannon to cover the entire world (except crappy old england) with rubiks cubes, and the only way out will be to solve every last one.

well that's my take on things, and hell it's more sensible than most other opinions on the subject so I think I deserve some credit, I take gil or meseta, thanx Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Hey, maybe the Cube is a person! Like Ice Cube or... Danny DeVito.

I remain highly suspicious of the notion that the Third Power effected a 'purloin' function with regard to the Cube. Methinks there exists too much of the game left for the identity or affiliation of the culprits to be known as of even date, especially as the purpose of the game, as I first heard it described, was to identify the thief and the location of the Cube.

You see, this is the part I disagree with. Given the government can't afford the money to make a decent health service, they're never going to be able to buy so many rubik's cubes.

Therefore they'll be covering the earth in those really annoying twisty metal wire puzzles that you get in Christmas crackers.
