theories on the cube It wouldnt be fair on all players if the cube was in say Oxford. Because not everyone could get there.
If the cube was on the internet.. it would be a letdown.
Its not one of the cheap cubey trinkets firebox release every month..
So where is the cube and what is it?
My theory is it is an earth monument, building, or part of a building.. ie the dot on an i or something.
Of course for that to be the case it would have to have been built after the theft.
Your thoughts?

I'd find it REALLY, REALLY fair if the cube was in Oxford...
But where are people getting this idea?

If it was somewhere you could not physically get to, perhaps hard evidence of it's location would be enough and Mind Candy representatives could retrieve it for you?

I'm telling you, the Cube is behind Sente's sofa. He'll find it when he scoots his couch away from the wall during his spring cleaning, and then we'll all be embarassed. Kidding!
Wherever the Cube is, it's going to be unfair to somebody because they're not going to be able to reach it. That's just the nature of a treasure hunt. And really, all but one of us are going to be disappointed--after all, there's only one Cube to be found.

I was certainly going for "fallen down the back of the sofa" idea. Along with a comb, a few coins, a boiled sweet, and an odd sock, there lies the cube covered in fluff........... I can see it now

In my eyes, the only fair way to determine who gets the Cube is at the end of a long live event, where the most worthy gets the goodies. EG; we are told a 3P double-agent can get us access to a secret compound, we do some snooping and some puzzles, something like that. The cool thing is this event really could be anything with a budget as big as MC's!
BTW: Happy Cubetheft-iversary everyone!
[EDIT: but then theres the reports that the Cube is buried... Hmm...]

Yeah but for a game running world wide, it wouldnt be fair if say, they held this event in new york would it. Sure the english wouldnt complain if it was in london, but they would if it was in america, just like they'd be annoyed vice versa.
Maybe MC wont be PC and will have it in a country. But my personal bet is its not a "retrievable" item. More like a landmark. The cube could increase in size on earth or something

Ah, but the budget! I hereby speculate the possibility of live feeds of the event for those not attending, perhaps with equal levels of participation compared to those present in person? It'd be a huge job certainly, maybe even going a bit too far for even our magical MC...
Meh, I'm happy to adopt a blissful 'wait and see' attitude in the end, they'll have it all worked out I'm sure.

of course.....but the person who finds the cube might find it in their heart (and their new huge bank account) to buy us all a drink.....mines a pint.

The implications of the Telegraph article are:
a) The Cube is a tangible object
b) It is in one specific location
c) That location is probably somewhere around London
or of course Naomi is just joking/ misleading us...
But we pretty much guessed all that already...
