I assume we are to wait for a blog update before we can continue.
No doubt he'll have had another weird dream last night.

Hey guys,
I got one of the 'singalong' emails myself. All it read was:
ROT-7 gives 'sale'. So I guess we're on the right track...

Interesting stuff. Maybe the song from his dream was 'How much is that Doggie...'?
That, along with the Lucid Dreaming connection, could indicate that he is doing some or most of this in his sleep. But I wonder why ...

seems to be the qustion... Everything he say goes with his journal... so at least he is good about making things cohesive...

Hmm... seems interesting. I'll check back on this a little, but one thing I noticed from the livejournal was that the whole thing started with a dreamcatcher. The post about the song that he couldn't understand and was just music made me think of Native American songs/rituals, with the dreamcatcher and all.

Just to let you know, not only do I not have him on my LJ Friends list, I don't have LJ at all!
There is no connection between getting a singalong email and having tiffle on your friends list.

Can I suggest that the next person who speaks with him asks him to set up some sort of logging system on his computer so that he can check and see if he's using it in his sleep.

I was poking around LiveJournal, and I discovered that the theme that he's using for his LJ is called "Victim".
http://www.livejournal.com/customize/themes.bml << Down the bottom.
Just thought you'd like to know.
<edit>
I also figured out how to switch comments on/off, so I'm gonna see if I can get to him and talk to him about it, and maybe something else while I'm at it.
<edit>
I just e-mailed him with the following:
Quote:
Hello!
I was reading your journal and I believe I can help you with your comments problem.
Check this link out below:

PS, I noticed you've been having some weird dreams. If you ever wanna talk about them just to get them off your chest or whatever I'm always available.
Lets see if I can't draw him out....

Seems to have worked, at least partially: he's enabled comments!

Thanks for the help! No offense, but I have trouble confiding in my
psychologist, let alone random internet strangers, so I hope you won't mind
if I don't take you up on that "get dreams off my chest" thing just yet.
Maybe later. I think I've got that covered now, anyway.
Thanks again!

Sure... Although he hasn't been on all day... not even once since I messaged him... I think they are afraid to get on AIM now... cause one of us will be stalking the dark corridors of the internet... or maybe cause they just don't want to speak to us right now...

hey tiffletaff 7
i found your lj via some friends and
i'm also curious about dreams
thanks for the lucid dreaming link--
my dreams have gotten incredibly colorful
lately and i'm remembering so many details
of them that i began to write them down last
month.
my post on Tuesday, December 20th, 2005--
was a lucid dream. while i ran down the street
i had the conscious thought that "this is a dream"
and then "this is a fun dream"-- i was psyched to
have it continue after that because i usually
wake up once i realize i'm dreaming.
does that happen to you?
<edit>Jan's</edit> journal is here:

And this is <edit>his</edit> entry for dec. 20
Quote:
the entire room was arguing about the spider's web over the kitchen light. i didn't say a word. i just sat on the counter and listened to the hum of the words as i stared up at the web. the web seemed to breathe and grow and the hum of the words continued to hum until i could no longer understand what anyone was saying. i looked away from the web and i looked around the room and saw that all the mouths were moving at the same time but i could still only hear the hum. i squinted my eyes and tried to understand but i realized i no longer could understand and so i stopped squinting. i watched all of their mouths moving and moving until the word "mouth" lost all its meaning and that scared me so i quickly looked back up at the web. when the web lost its meaning too, i looked down at my safe feet. somebody started to laugh and soon everyone was laughing and then we were running. and we ran out the door and into the street. we ran thru rotting streets between old dying houses until we reached a blue gray beach. everyone was there. we all gathered along the edge of the beach near a tree with no leaves. a voice told us to hold our breath and on the count of three -- we did. i held my breath so long that i could no longer hear and as soon as the blue gray beach was silent, a train of trailers and campers decorated in christmas lights drove onto the beach and created a large circle. they drove round and round and we counted, "one, two". and they drove round and round and we counted, "three, four". and on the fifth time around, hundreds of tiny balloons inflated from the roofs of each trailer and each camper-- and as they continued around in the circle, they began to gracefully glide up and down up and up and down --like a weird silent carousel.
