ARGs at Upcoming Interactive Entertainment Workshop

For anyone who might happen to be in Europe in the beginning of March, I'll be speaking at and participating in the Developing Interactive Entertainment Workshop in Munich, Germany, from March 4th through the 7th.

The workshop is being put on by SAGAs Writing Interactive Fiction, a joint initiative of the European MEDIA Plus Programme Training & Hochschule für Fernsehen (TV) und Film in Munich, aimed at furthering fiction writing skills for the interactive media market. Attending the workshop will be writers, producers, directors, programmers, developers, designers and artists from all over Europe.

This description of the workshop is from the SAGAs website:

Quote:
In this intensive workshop the relationship between storytelling, visual media techniques, game design and interactivity will be explored in depth. Participants will learn to apply their knowledge of media and narrative to the new arena of digital technology by developing their own ideas for an interactive product, which are then processed in a group design and presentation phase. Participants will develop, in teams, presentations for an interactive narrative product which is then discussed and evaluated by the entire plenum.

The focus of my talk(s) and participation will be alternate reality games and their role in helping redefine interactive entertainment and digital storytelling. If any ARG'ers are going to be at this workshop or in the area at that time, I'd like to meet you. Email or PM me and let me know, or just stop by the workshop and say "Hello."

An exact schedule of the workshop sessions and when I will be speaking etc should be available very soon. I hope to see some of you there.
