based on Keers Eye, I'm thinking Eye = I/1 as in oliverkeers13

I think we may need the actual addys for the others who were sent e-mail2, as it looks like their usernames that were posted. I'll drop a note to oliverkeers.

If we get all the "friends" we're left with a code sthg like 12211323111 (total guess for the blanks).

what about terminalskeptic for the computer?

Katsurame, out of interest does your name mean anything? as you've had an e-mail you may be one of the clues?

Eh, not that I know of. It was a title I thought sounded cool.
If I am related to one of the puzzles, he might be using my older username, Mantis.

This is a new link from the yahoo email details.

It is a (very uninformative) diary:

Jan 2nd - Today shall be my last entry for some time, we set sail to Portugal tommorrow. Hopefully we shall make our fortune there.

Jan 1st - Happy new year. Had a bit too much to drink and made myself look silly. But thats what this time of the years about right?

Dec 26th - Christmas was good this year.

Dec 24th - Sorry for delay in writing. But who reads this anyway? Will update after christmas. Am going to visit my family. I don't know when i will return to America after my journey.

Nov 11th - Plans have been made for europe. We shall travel to portugal and try to make our names there. I will have to learn some of the language.

Nov 4th - Due to financial issues, i had to let my website die. This isnt much substitute but it will do until i get enough time online to warrant a website.

But it does give a name: Jared Stevens.

Note the following in the source for the diary, not sure if this is actually added by Yahoo, but it seems doubtful, and the widths seem significant

<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=69></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=10></td>

<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=22></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=27></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=12></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=54></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=87></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=32></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=7></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=3></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=23></td>

<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=249></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=2></td>
<td><img src="http://www.geocities.com/clipart/pbi/c.gif" height=1 width=1></td>

Its a series of 1px high images right at the top of the page, with different widths

I think they are just spacer.gifs, quite common in web pages... The location of them as well isn't in his home directory, so I think its more somethng to do with Geocities rather than The Composer.. Very Happy

It could be, though using a standard spacer wouldn't mean anything, it would be the widths that mattered, I guess he could be using them for the narrow vertical bands ...

If its genuine web design instead of meaningful then its lousy web design Smile

I won't post the complete email addresses, for privacy's sake, but the first parts go (in order) zeldafan8626, saevitia, muse.darkstar, oliverkeers13.

I've dropped a couple of mails from different sources to the composer, hopefully they'll reply with some more info.

I have two new messages from him:

nós estamos faltando alguns de nossos endereços dos amigos assim que não podemos proseguir. um era o corvo, o thistle, o nightmare e o assassino. dois eram vitia, keers, a estrela e o ventilador. três eram sceptical, o anel, o katsurame e cox. Eu dei-lhe o primeiro código para incorporar sua rede. Para encontrar onde isto está. Você deve dechiper ele. Minha habilidade de língua é pobre. Eu espero que você possa ler este.

the first roughly translates as:

I know I have not been around for a while, but I'm pretty sure that Darkstar is no longer with us. The same might go for a few other people on the list that have not got in touch with us. I saw the message in my inbox and came back to the forums for the first time in ages, but others might not.
