1)In some sites of the game Beth is Elizabeth.
ElizaBeth-Beth=Eliza=Alica=Alice in wonderland
So maybe Beth McConnell is actually Alice in wonderland.
2)Beth McConnell username is EMC2. There are 2 meanings to this name:
A. E=M*C^2 - This is a very famous formula that was invented by Albert Einstein.
A translation:
Energy = Mass × velocity of light˛

B. The intials of her name are EMC (Elizabeth Mc Connell).
But why her username is EMC2 instead of EMC? Maybe there are 2 "Beth"s:
The first one is Beth McConnell: metacortex employee .
The second one is ElizaBeth McConnell: Alice in wonderland.

If she got to pick her username (instead of it being randomly assigned by the company), Elizabeth McConnell can be shorted to EMcC, which can be shortened to EMC^2 or EMC2.
