Perplexian Avatars Where did you guys get those Avatars? Oliver has one, and I know a bunch of other people do too, and I'm curious. I wouldn't mind one myself

Yes, everyone with an Avatar has had an article published under 'The View From Earth' column. If you want one, you'll need to have a submission accepted. See the Sentinel's submission guidelines for more details and don't forget to include 'a photograph of yourself for our artists to work from.'

And they make you about three stone lighter than you really are.

I would have searched, except I didn't know exactly what to search.
I'll get right to work on something for The View From Earth, though I don't know if it'll ever get put in there. Wish me luck

I'm kind of boggled. You're like the fFourth person to ask. Like, you do read the sentinel right? I mean, the sentinel is *the* place to start digging into the world of perplex city. And they hand out new avatars to people at a rate of roughly one a week, so it's not like some obscure corner of the site. Like I know there are new people playing every day. I gettit. And that's a good thing. But where do you start, if NOT the sentinel? I suppose PxC.com, but that links to the sentinel lots of times. If you want to get into the story anywhere, you're almost guaranteed to cross the sentinel at least once, right?

Must say, I'm rather glad he asked. I certainly didn't have a clue where they came from, even though I've been reading the Sentinel since I started following the game. Which is not a game. Or is it? ARG!

I had to ask Scott. I read the Sentinal but through unfiction which is easier to keep on top of all the updates then checking each individual site myself, and of course, you don't get to see the avatars in the unfiction posts as there's no graphics.

that answers it, then. and kudos to all the crack posters who report the updates in a clear manner, too. Though I'm still a little unclear how you entered the game, read the sentinel, and didn't notice the avatars. BUT, it happens, and there's a lot of info to digest all at once when starting out .. many many pages, many many sites .. so I suppose a lot of questions will remain.
Brian started a fFAQ on the wiki. Maybe that should be expanded to cover more diverse-yet-simple questions (like this), and become referred to often.

I entered the game through solving cards and when I found out there was more to it than just the cards I had already found unfiction where all the info is kindly provided for us busy bees who wouldn't keep up if we had to check all the individual sites ourselves
