Good Spot

Good Spot there hope it leads on to something.

Has anybody actually figured out the question? I cant see anything on the actuall card and the website actually only says show your proof. But show your proof to what? We have already established it is not the hypothesis so what is it?

Has anyone tried putting the "truly marvellous demonstration" of the cubic law, as mentioned by fretty onn page 18, as a solution?

It looks like noise but I think there is something there, I'll have a play with it see if I can clean it up more.

EDIT: just looked at cherokeeparks scan as well as this and once you know what to look for there are numbers(?) there, it looks like 5,393F then not sure if it's more or just noise????? lol But anyway I think Don has found something here, may be more across the whole black/grey fade line as well.

I really hope it hasn't got anything to do with the answer. It seems like such a charmless way of providing a clue to the card-a bit like scrambling around a source code.

I had a stare at the pics of the margins but all i got was a headache! If there is sumthin there its very unclear, so unless we can get a clearer version somehow i doubt we'll be able to glean any info/clues from it

TP-I'll PM you the code I have for this card-and give it to you at the meet- if you bet me a tenner on you being wrong.

Free card and a tenner, not bad for a 70% chance.

Ok, i'll take that bet. If i'm wrong i'll owe you £10 at the meet. If i solve riemann's hypothesis, you bring the card. Deal.

Abso-mother bloody-lutely.

I'll PM you the code tonight. I'll also throw in a free pint at the meet whatever happens just because you took the bet on.

You only have one day to solve the card though.

I really hope you solve it-good luck.

Hmm i admit it i was wrong.

My answer was

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In order to celebrate mathematics in the new millennium, The Clay Mathematics Institute of Cambridge, Massachusetts (CMI) has named seven Prize Problems. The Scientific Advisory Board of CMI selected these problems, focusing on important classic questions that have resisted solution over the years. The Board of Directors of CMI designated a $7 million prize fund for the solution to these problems, with $1 million allocated to each.

Looking at it from a completely different perspective i guess. Well i owe you £10, and have deleted the code. Thanks man Smile Win some lose some Wink

EDIT : If anyone with the card wants to carry on my train of thought that

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the only information on the card you can prove without being a math god, is there is a $1million dollar prize

feel free.
