I've cataloged all the files from the site and arranged them in a nice friendly folder format in the attached zip file.

To state the obvious, it won't be up to date if anything changes, but is much easier than trying to navigate the file system.

I've created empty folders where these exist. Obviously as no private data is accessable it is not here!

Bah! I've literally just done the same thing. I included the file URLs in case anyone is interested. Smile

This is probably nothing, but it says in the memo that they were having a party for Yoshi and Nicola on Friday, but Yoshi left the company in October after only a couple of months...? Just seems a bit odd.

I've emailed Violet too, hopefully she'll get the message Confused

Just thought I'd add, although this particular page is still (always?) in progress, all of the files discovered so far are listed on the wiki, here:

So go on then ... I'm dumb ... where did the question about the stars come from?

Although I know that star signs and cubist history is not one of kurts strong points I noticed this in the path of least time archives:
Quote:
We're working on deciphering this odd waterlogged book about secret societies and the Cube that she found in some remote corner of the central archives. Of course, when I say 'we're working', what I really mean is 'I'm working, and Violet is looking over my shoulder and occasionally making sarcastic comments.'

So far it's been a disappointing read. All sorts of stuff about the author hating the Academy, the mystical nature of right-angles (?!) and a strange take on the legends of Madna. Not really my preferred reading material. I do have to admit that some parts of the recovery process have been interesting. This sort of archaeology isn't my field of expertise, but I've been able to use some equipment of my own and some at the Academy to retrieve apparently destroyed information.

Maybe he (or voilet) has some info about the background of Gyvann and stars.
My email is having issues at the moment or I would do it myself. Rolling Eyes

I had been thinking along the same lines as totro, ie that waterlogged book. So, I looked up the names of those Cube worshippers, named in that book by Lencival, that Kurt and Violet were working on. So i tried the following as passwords with no success:

The Archers of Dawn
The Quadrilists
The Fire of the South
The Third Power
The Society of Elders
The Tarsians
The Kababah Clan

(Tried them with spaces and without, with all 'The's and without)

I have a feeling that the answer we are looking for is contained in that book somewhere, so maybe we could ask Violet to go back to it and try to find something. Although it could be in last entry of Graniers diary too

"star" could also be referring to a star musician since he works for Hesh. Although its a bit of a stretch to get the sentance to make sense under that context.

The Wiki page should be up-to-date now, at least as far as filesystem contents go anyway.

I took Jakeo's list of file URLs and added them to the Wiki as well (nice work Jakeo!).

We should ask Alejo in the chat on Wednesday if he happens to remember when Cyrus Quinton's birthday is, then we'd know his sign which would be something to go on if that is the right route to solving the riddle.

Ooh I hope I get to speak to him, hehe Rock On

That's absolutely brilliant... Shocked

I mean sure, weaving into conversation would be very, very tricky, considering there are much bigger surface issues he's likely to be addressing, but if it could be artfully slid into conversation (see: inconspicuously; not blurted), it might be a good place to start!

Wish I'd thought of it... Wink

Anyone who absolutely *knows* that they are going to be there tomorrow, without fail, come hell, high water or missing limbs due to shark attack, that would care to volunteer to take up the mantle of "absentee-question-askerererer"? I might not be able to make it, and I'd appreciate someone asking a question or two for me if I can't, and I guess I might not be the only one.

We could post them into this thread to make sure that we got 'em covered.

J

Note: "RFD RAWKZORZ! *squeeeeeeeeeeeeee*" is not a question.

Well, the religions confuse me, but I figure the Brotherhood of the Six have a good history to be getting on with. So.. I've emailed:

Quote:

To: April Flynnt
Subject: Star Signs

I'm doing some research for the "Earth" book from Seaside Press that's all over the media at the moment. My piece is concerning the more mystical, whimsical aspects of the various belief systems and how they compare on Earth to Perplex City. I was wondering if you knew anything about the history of "star signs". We have a similar belief in the stars that goes back far into history and I think it's interesting to compare the two. If nothing else, simply a list of the signs names may help me. From the Sentinel 'futures', I know what they're called in the mainstream nowadays (archer, dragon etc.) but was that always the same?

Oh, and who cares when his birthday is? We will only have 12 options, we can try them all.

Bah! I wont be available.

As a thought though Quinton did work on the last Roll for Damage Album we could ask if he will be missed for his production talent on any future projects as a starting point.

Following on from that as Keenan is a member of the Reconstructionists could we not use the old "do you think that Stars / DOB's can influence the whole thing" tack and "does he think the star sign of say a production engineer like Cyrus have any influence type thing" dropping in the fact that here on earth such Stars as Madonna and Michael Jackson have been know to only record on certain days due to the possible cosmological consequences! - to which he may say - "well Quinton being and Archer has no influence on the final production it is my talent!"

I could probably word that better but hopefully you get the idea.
