especially considering that the winner will get the money

huh?

I'm going to go out on a limb. I took that to mean that the characters in the TV show can't actually find the money after the 12 episodes are over. The money has to still be missing.

Say that Jim Prufrock DID find the money, then we, the players, wouldn't be winning the "lost money", we'd be winning the money that Jim found.
I think a part of me wants to think that the money will keep changing hands, but will eventually be still buried when the show is buried.

And as such, I think "wouldn't u like 2 no" was similarly thinking that Jim can find the bible, but not the money.

The winner's supposedly supposed to get the money that was stolen, not just the same amount of money but the actual money that was stolen so niether the suits nor Jim are going to end up with it. Plus they even said the moneys not important, but the bible is.
