Oh no, I am in a fair bit of strife here on puzzle 2, cause I can't even recognise any of the hints in the forum!!! Woe is me....
EDIT: Arrrggghh! This was a case of post and solve....I thought that was interesting when I first saw it, but didn't know what to do until just now!

I'm doing soooo well in this comp..been stuck at every puzzle so far, and the same for no.3.
If it wasn't for the fact it's a real person I'd call them!

Hmmmm, so much information relating to searches for puzzle 3, but not anything that really jumps out and says "look at me! I'm a clue!".....oh well, back to the drawing board it seems.

Am I the only one who thinks the completion code is another puzzle?
or am I getting too paranoid??

I'm still stuck on Number 2 - I have no idea what cipher is being used. Talk about feeling dumb! Anyone care to drop another hint?

if you have decoded the start then you know when it's finishing

I just found out about the competition, and I've been slowly chugging along, but now I'm stuck on the 2nd part. Curiously enough, I found the image and what I'm supposed to use to decipher it, but my DOS skills are seriously lacking. Everytime I try something it says "Fatal: Could not open <file>!" (with whatever file I try). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I've managed to get to the six-word-clue-with-two-bold-words-under-it bit and I've got an inclining that you have to
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
google the two bold words
However, I think that this isn't working any more... I chatted to a few people in the IRC and they weren't sure what was going on as they didn't have any problems...
I know its getting a bit late but anyone got any ideas about what to do!?
I'm stuck...

well, im still stuck on the 1st puzzle!
ive found the image and decoded all of the last 2 text blocks, but have no idea what to do with the first block. ive read through this thread a couple times to try get some ideas but still drawing a blank
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
from what i can gather, when i decode the first block it'll direct me towards some program that i can use with the image to get the next keyword

Woo! I finally got past the 2nd one. But now I have no idea how to start the next one with the 6 word clue.
beglee: Have you done everything you can with the text you've decoded? You shouldn't worry about the top bit until you know everything else you've talked about.

yes well the last two words should lead you to a website, but the site seems to no longer exist
I feel it would be giving to much away to let you know what you're missing - does anyone know how to contact PerplexCity Trades to let them know about the problem?
