 		hmmmmm. well i searched livejournal for a "caulfield" and found 1ne, but it's not the guy we're looking for. i looked through all the users (all 400+) who are interested in proust, for a person with caulfield in their name and couldn't find 1ne. i guess we wait for william to get back online and ask him about his journal.

i just googled proust and time travel and came up with some interesting things. don't have time to look into them, though. i need to go to sleep. i found a book he's written being sold on amazon. this is a quote from 1ne of the reviews:

"Nominally it is an exploration of the perception of time and its effects on the mind"

i also googled proust and silence and came up with this:

"'Books' writes Marcel Proust, are 'children of silence,' written and read alone."

could books be the silence...? lol. i think i'm reading way too deep into that 1ne. but as i said. it's late and i'm sleepy. gnite:)

 		jesus christ. in all my searching...i didn't think to search for "silence" on LJ...erg. damn being tired. anyways. i added him and commented on his post, but it seems as though i wasn't the first. a certain sandra commented before me. her name is bolded so it is hard to miss...lol. but unfortunately, she has no account, or maybe she does and commented anonymously. off to eat!!!

i just started a new job, so i can't really play right now, but there ya go

edit: d'oh! just saw that it was already linked... but the strange bit is that on 2/13, he talked about being awoken "yesterday" by the news, which is impossible due to the 24 hour media ban that was in effect

Not sure if anyone else has tried converting some of the binary in the background to ASCII, but here's what I got with the first row:

01100101 - e
01101110 - n
01100011 - c
01100101 - e

I didn't see anything promising going from top to bottom, but perhaps someone more experienced would have more luck?

 		I'll work on the binary. It looks like mostly lowercase letters but a few uppercase and punctuation. I'll post what I got in a couple of hours.

jenni42ld reporting in! Been waiting for edoc Laundry to start and I found this thread. Looks interesting! Went over the Amazon page and couldn't find anything. Red Herring or am I blind? I checked reviews and names and I can't see anything... I googled a bunch of stuff. Googled Veritas with silence, thesilence, the silence, fence, fences, william, proust...can't remember what else. I'm running binary conversion as well. Wink Looks like updates are Mondays and Thursdays. Can't wait!

whatisthesilence (5:21:20 PM): i'm not sure, but another person that contacted me suggested it. you see, i've been receiving strange phone calls for quite some time. they're all very early in the morning...usually before 6:30am. i always miss them, but i think this stalker may be involved!

whatisthesilence (5:23:17 PM): i've tried, but it always says the number cannot be reached. i decided to get an answering machine because i always miss it, so perhaps they'll leave a message tomorrow. i really am quite interested to see who it is. i really wouldn't be surprised if it was one of those telemarketers though.
