Interesting thoughts sotonrich.

The Sentinel seems to show that there is an anti-Earth feeling amongst Perplexians. Obviously not directly, just a few snide comments, and letters to the editor.

I think its just standard youthful anti social behaviour. With the increased scrutiny on earth, the perplexians do the standard thing and blame a scapegoat. The corallary is here on earth, we have a rise in anti social behaviour, and we don't try and find a proper source, we just blame something that is more violent than our society: i.e. video games.

When anti social behaviour and violence occurs, people never want to blame themselves. Parents of kids who turn violent don't want to say 'I was a bad parent, I should have taken better care of my child' they instead say 'They played violent video games, that must be the problem'. Over there, they don't want to say 'cracks are starting to show in our society, what can be done to prevent this and stop anti social behaviour', they instead say 'we have been in more contact with earth, and they are more violent than we are, they must be giving bad ideas to our youth'.
