[OT] What is the diffrent between: godaddy, leiphe and ush?

What is diffrent between : www.GoDaddy.com, www.Leiphe.net and www.underscorehosting.com ?
Which site is hosting all the other sites?
Is godaddy.com fake?
Is ush is complitly fake? I know it's a part of the ARG but maybe it's not complitly fake. Please answer.

GoDaddy.com is a legit business that does web-service hosting.
They are a fairly strong competitor in the market to (they offer some awesome packages from what I saw as far as pricing goes).

If you perform a whois on UnderScore Hosting, the website is registered to GoDaddy.com (and GoDaddy.com to a business).

Leiphe.net is registered to underscore hosting, as are all the other 'matrix' related pages.

Thus they are simply the company that this project is being hosted on.

For the sake of having more fun though, try not to look at it in terms of technicality, GoDaddy is really irrelevant at this point Smile

Thanks chacko!

I readed somewhere that all the IPs of the game's sites are leading to leiphe.net

Is that true?

this forum is by far the best dealing with the metacortex ARG, and this is due to good moderators and a decent fair play among the users...please stay inside this playfield

Sort of. That seems to be the reverse DNS reply for most of the IPs. This is just an errata of having all the sites on the same server, I doubt it means anything.

Basicly whatever domain you type in, it's going to the same IP on the server. This saves on costs of the game and also provides an easy way to check legitimacy of a site. Since that IP can only have one main "name", the server chose www.leiphe.net to be it. This may be due to the way the domains were registered or how the host is configured. I wouldn't think of it as a clue or delibrate.

why leiphe.net is returned

maybe leiphe.net is the one it shows since it's the most recent site to be registered? it's really unimportant but the obsessive could maybe do a whois for all of em and see if leiphe was the last...my theory would be correct if they put up another site and then it lists as the return for all of em...
