After about a month of lurking and standing on all your shoulders, it was time that I finally had something meaningful with which to make my entrance.
Attached to this post you will find the answerphone message from the PCAG event in NYC. Worth noting: the 555 phone number (a favourite number of movies and tv shows) indicating that the call is completely bogus, the American accent of the caller, not recorded but the prefixed message "To listen to your message immediately, press any key." The transcription has already been made, but is included in the ID3 tag for posteritiy's sake.
London folks, looks like you're in for something special (then again, you just have all the exciting fun, don't you? we get a night in a bar, you get a helicopter).
Also, I've posted some photos of the evening to: http://flickr.com/photos/84921053@N00/ .
To everyone who was there, thanks, I had a great time!

Can someone stick up a transcript of the message? Don't really think it's the sort of thing that I can broadcast across the ward...
Although now I'm REALLY excited about London

I don't think that they were text messages, just voice calls...but, er...I could easily be wrong. The transcript is, as Lhall says a page back:-
Quote:
"You keep on searching, but you don't know what you're looking for or what's looking for you. I can help. I have some inside information about the Third Power. Tell your people to stay sharp in London, and they'll come away with more than just a trophy."
So...onwards to London. Nine days and counting. I'm sure that it'll pass off smoothly and incident free...right?
Tazer...check...
Tinfoil helmet...check...
Cricket bat...check...
Paranoia setting in yet kids?
J
P.S. Thanks to Lhall, Scott, Bagsbee, Rose, Pennance and everyone else (I'm sure I've missed people, sorry, but those are the names I recall from 4am this morning in IRC) for keeping those who couldn't make it in touch with things on the ground - it sounded like a great night.

Ahh so at least we know now, something IS going to happen at some point in London! (Well MC planned anyway, not refering to tube strikes or anything!)
Can any of the American guys who went last night give us some more ideas of the games? Could be helpful if we knew more of the rules to these PCAG things I think!
Juxta. Yes its setting in.

Juxta, bring extra tin foil hats. Just in case you see someone without one. You guys better have fun or else. Oh, and watch out for any creepy people with "I Worship The Cube" t-shirts

Ahem.
Okay, so uh. We uh. Well.
For those who wanted more details, we played rock paper scissors first, three rounds of three games each, only with Cube Pyramid and Sphere. Sphere Beats Pyramid Beats Cube Beats Sphere.
Then we played Set. (http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=1254)
Then, from the 8 people who had the most points from those two games, four were eliminated through two rounds of 3d tic-tac toe.
Finally, the four were reduced to two through batik.
http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=1167
The two competed for the championship through "clash", in which a trivia question or puzzle (some 3rd wave cards were revealed) was put on a videoscreen and the two of us had two beat the other to ringing once we knew the answer.
He won with five, I lost with two. One of mine being "Sheep."

Does anyone else get the impression we are being set up, again ?!

Lol that did cross my mind too, but what else can we do? Its the only way we can push this game forward really, so as long as we bear in mind that this could be another convoluted(?) set-up we should be ok.
Plus its fun

We don't have to sit back and let it happen to us though do we? Perhaps some preparation is required, now that we are forewarned?
