Hi everyone, this is my first venture into the ARG world, so please bear with me if it has no relavance at all. About the location of renata, on the forums, all times are GMT +3, and Curtis does say it's just after midnight at 12:37 a.m., so, looking at a map of the world with timezones on, and considering there are beaches, (or at least one beach), I think the most likely situation would be between africa and madagascar or somewhere around there.

Sorry for the double post but ive just come upon something exciting (well i think so anyway).

I was scouring the source code for the website (as you do), and noticed that all the images were in /images folder. Now, I have seen hacking examples where files were hidden inside this folder. So, I enter. Lo and behold there is a picture called 5.jpg. For those of you who cant be bothered to get there:


It could be anissa, but in her profile it says she has red hair and blue eyes. As you can see the girl in the picture has blonde hair and green eyes. Perhaps Karin? And perhaps someone might want to try stenography, as I've just entered the ARG world (see my first post above). Also, the source code for this page is weird - hex perhaps, or code?

Also, in the images folder there are lots of files with name of format "core.13116". Anyone know anything about this, they also seem large (about 200k) files, much larger than the 4-6k background images, all of which ive checked for anything out of the ordinary, nothing there.

Greetings, today I suddenly stumble upon ARG and Renata Island, which I've never heard of before. After doing some "research" and clicking I found this site, so I checked the forums here and did a search on renata island and found this topic...
Anyway, as I said, I'm all new to this kind of gaming and would like to have a try on it. Think this'll server as a intro. of me, lol.


Anyway again, was checking the Renata community site and was thinking on how you could get someone inside the staff forums over there, so I tried to login as one of the members in the staff group. I thought that "Christian" was the father of "Annisa" and that he possibly could use her name as password... suddenly something happend and I could click on the staff forum and browse it after being brought back to the forum index. This was what i found(just copy-pasted the pages right off... sorry if this spamms the topic and the lack of... "good looking text", heh...):

Well done, yes, you can log in as Christian password Anissa - probably indicating he is anissas father. This also means we can see the staff forums. There is some interesting stuff, including staff rivalry in there. Unfortunately he has no Private Messages. Nice work.

Holy crap! Nice going! It does work...

But I advise that nobody post anything as Christian, I'm doubting that they even want us to be using his account, not yet anyway. So look but don't touch.

It's ok, I just saved all of them as MS docs, so we don't need to post all the important stuff on the boards but we have all of it, if needed

Do we have an IRC channel, I know about the wiki, with no trail yet, but I though IRC would be a good place when lots of people are online, and is Renata Isle now big enough to warrant its own section?

I don't think we can get our own section quite yet (though I wish we could) but at least now we have the freedom to create new threads.

And we have an AIM channel, just go to aim:gochat?roomname=PROJECTRENATA (AIM has to already be installed on your computer)

Bad news the Christian doorway has closed. I've tried with Annissa, Anissa, and Nis. none work
