I don't think this site is related. See the symbol at the bottom? Doesn't it remind you of anything? Wink

EDIT

wait...i didn't see that little logo at the bottom...it links to the same page. doesn't make sense though...the countdown is counting down another 2wo years...elder scrolls IV is slated to be released next month. hmmm...i don't see the connection.

2nd edit.

on a side note...i am seriously hoping this is another ILB. wasn't around for the first, but as i said in another post "you talk about [ILB] like it was the greatest thing since chuck norris" and i would love to take part in something that great. "crosses fingers"

710 days is the longest countdown I've ever seen. 2 years can't be right, why would you even start counting down that early?

Well, if it is ILBees, then 42 is going about it in a .... strange... way. Plus, i mean, i didn't play ILB (i joined the genre just after it finished), but from what i've seen, this isn't like ILB was.

Could be an ILB2, but i think that if it was, it'd be...less, uh, blatant.

I've been hearing the (pardon the pun) buzz about ILB since I started watching args. (Didn't watch that one, since I came in on the tail end, as was therefore very confused, as a newb). But if this really IS ILB2...Neato.

*tries to call Marrec, who would be thrilled, if he wasn't off galavanting with his girlfriend*

a little bit of meta
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
checked the whois info for the site ilovebees2.com it was created febuary 1st, 06, by domainsbyproxy. No help on whether this is legit or not, there. Incidentally, the site is only registered for a year... but the countdowns at over 2 years...

If you really think this is ILB 2 being put on by 42, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Anyone can register a website, and spoofing an email can also be done with a little bit of knowledge. If you really take a step back and think about what has been said in the convos, instead of just being blinded by the Halo buzzwords, you'll see that none of this makes any sort of sense when it comes to how I Love Bees was played.

What rowan said.

As an aside, I really do actually love when people get really excited about ARGs, but it's also dismaying to see people leave their critical thinking at the door. You're all ARGers, for goodness' sake. It's *OK* to have a healthy sense of suspicion about ARGs launching themselves at you like 2 ton weights.

Checking IP # origins and consistency in theme is NOT a bad thing. It doesn't make you a jerk, or untrue to past games. It makes you a good sleuth.

Hi, I'm a random person who seems to have been sucked into this too. Got a random "Hello" yesterday, and then this today.

Quote:
[20:35:14] ladybee360: I know where they are. Kamal, Rani, Jan and Jersey. It's starting again. 77 days.

Three observations:

1. ladybee360 only IMs me when I am afk and thus unable to respond. I'm not sure if this is bad timing, or crafty planning.
2. This person can't seem to decide how many days it will be before the whatever.
3. The only reason I can think of that they would contact ME is because I have linked to things like ILB in my Livejournal before. Which seems kind of pitiful and grasping to me, when there are so many people more active in the ARG world than myself.

That's my random unsolicited two cents on this developing weirdness, brought to you courtesy of my googling "ladybee360" and getting this thread as the only hit.

Not my post, but I felt I should step in here: 'If'. 'Could be'. Not statements of belief, rather of possibility. 'Isn't like ILB was'. 'It'd be less blatant'. Says to me the poster doesn't believe it's ILB2.

I can only hope that there we be a second installment to ILB. This doesn't feel like ILB, but who knows...
I miss the experience I had with ILB, my first ARG.

Oh heck I'm sure it's NOT ILB2. At best someone trying to try something fun with a bunch of ARG hooks and maybe inside references. At worst someone doing a bad job of it...

www.ilovebees2.com more oblique arg references?

It appears this is another Seen Steve type thing. Only with less effort.

If it were Seen Steve it would probably be funny. This just qualifies as 'wtf'.
