Problems getting to the Perplex City home page

Please let me apologise ahead of time if this plebian request but I'm computer illiterate and I'm having this screen whenever I try to log on:
Quote:
10060 - Connection timeout
Internet Security and Acceleration Server

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Technical Information (for support personnel)

Background:
The gateway could not receive a timely response from the Web site you are trying to access. This might indicate that the network is congested, or that the Web site is experiencing technical difficulties.

ISA Server: nhcne-npri-isa.med.nads.navy.mil

Via:

I can't ask any of the service guys here about it (it's at work). This has been going on for a few days. Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to laugh, trout, or otherwise demean me after this is answered. I'm in the States so does is the page being worked on on the "off hours" of UK time?
Thanks again,
Brian
P.S. Moderators please feel free to throw this post away into the trash can of stupidity at any time.

That is an error coming from your local network's proxy server (based on the server address.) This means that either (1) connectivity between the proxy and the Perplex City servers is down or (2) the Perplex City servers themselves are down. Considering that I can access the website, I'd say the former. Your best bet is to just sit tight and try again later (from a few minutes to a few hours.) Errors like that are usually intermittent and "fix themselves" (or rather are the results of the IT staff working on something, so go away when they're done monkeying with the network.)

Thank you so much. It hasn't worked for a few days so I hope it's not the IT guys busting my chops.
Thanks again.
Brian
