Just checking up on my history...
The so called location for Atlantis was near that crescent shaped island in the Mycenaen Sea right? Just north of Mycenae? At some point, like I think 500 BCE a volcano erupted from it that was so violent, some historians thought that it may have contributed to the fall of the Mycenaen civilization (along with invading barbarians).
But weren't ashes found as far east as India or something?
Thats a pretty important moment in history if you ask me
Yep that's a possible location of atlantis. It's called Santorini, or Thera in ancient times. It blew up around 1450BC and some people think it may have been responsible for the collaps of the minoan culture. Also elements of an advanced minoan style society have been found.
links nicely to the labryinth/minotaur theory doesn't it.

this is somewhat offtopic but...
nope, the minoans were sufficently weakened by the eruption of Thera to be invaded by the myceneans (their the guys responsible for the trogan war). the myceanae rule crete (and greece) with an iron fist for 150 years and then fall to barbarians from thessaly who, after a few centuries become the classical greek city states.
end history lesson.
I'd better be right, i've got a test on this in a week
hopefully this might eventually lead somewhere
I've tried everything I can think of in relation to minoan/myceanean culture as mlo's password and got nothing.

Hey! I honestly didn't steal my idea from anyone, but I'm not saying you didn't have it first...
Great minds think alike...

It's an underwater hotel, right? Does that mean that the toilets are connected to normal plumbing or do you just flush and... no, good lord, that just doesn't bear thinking about...

Hmm, it just struck me that The Aquapolis is being built near Mykonos, which is the Greek spelling for Mycenae...

Giskard: yeah. Mycenae -> Minos -> Labyrinth/Deadalus/Minotaur etc etc.
I know this is going to sound really corny, but I found an alternative Labyrinth reference too... Remember the pre-Muppets Jim Henson movie with David Bowie and the girl who lets her brother get kidnapped by goblins?
(aww, c'mon, it was in the TV guide when I was eating breakfast... )

OK, it's stuff like this that makes me question my sanity and reality.... "Gee," I think, "I'll look it up in the Internet Movie Data Base. Sounds like a fun flick."
Sure enough, there it is - Jim Henson and David Bowie. Oh, look, a comment, written by.... Cortex (matrixcpfSPLAT hotmail.com) !!! Had it been this month, I'd have been really freaked out and started looking for clues, but it was written last year, so, I'm fairly certain it's coincidental. Still, kind of freaky to see.

Oh, I know. My point was just that it was kind of freaky to see this Matrix/Metacortex reference. I strongly doubt it has anything to do with the game.

I'm sorry, but I just have to share this: what if the Muppets were agents?
Can you imagine Fozzie Bear doing the agent-dodging-bullets thing, or Beaker just cutting loose with some wall-running kung-fu?
Actually, looking at her behaviour, Miss Piggy could well BE an agent...
I know, there's something seriously wrong with me. I'm going to go have myself checked out now...
Wokka-wokka-wokka...
