Online contacts for London

I know I've been banging on in the "What are you bringing?" thread, but I think it is fairly likely that something non-PCAG may happen on Saturday. I've suggested being prepared, but not given any ideas of in what way. So here we go:

Going 3P hunting is daft and (as this is meta) may well bugger up any beautifully crafted storyline/helicopter bookings. So my suggestion is that we basically keep our eyes peeled, but if anything starts to happen (it's truly impossible to speculate what...maybe they'll kidnap Adrian) I think it's worth having a loosely organised communication network in place.

We have people in teams in contact with each other.

People spectating might have a good overview of what's going on in general so it would be useful to have contacts here too.

People online might be helpful in case some action of this kind is required.

Mima is my online contact, but if other teams want to snag someone, or someone in the crowd that can be phoned if necessary.

This might well be pointless and ineffectual, but could be useful, and I think the possibility of usefulness makes it worth it. Just a simple suggestion and I'm entirely happy to be ignored completely Very Happy

Doesn't sound like such a bad idea to me. Do we have any idea how many "unfiction teams" (i.e. teams with at least one member who is known here) there are?

We could have one "communications officer" per team who keep in touch and alert each other if something is afoot.

From a quick scan of the London Confirmation Thread, there seems to be about 4 or 5 including my own.
That is, unless people didn't post to say they got through, in which case there could be a lot more Confused

You can add one more to that - the Chic Geeks have at least two UF members, myself and sherpa / Jennie, and our eyes will be well and truly peeled for Plot (tm).

There was no way I could be there, so I am desperately hoping that something happens, and I can be of use!! Myself and BobbyJoeJackson (my partner in crime) will be anxiously waiting in front of the computer. Go team Jazz Hands!!!

Perhaps anyone else willing to be lurkin' about online would like to also jump up and down and wave hands in the air? Then we can make mobile number arrangements accordingly.
