Gibbet... I'd be congratulating you on your awesome distracting powers (are you a sock puppet?) but I'm shocked at your shoddy photoshopping skillz.

Hi all, I've just got back home after a marathon coach journey today. I had a great day and really enjoyed meeting everyone, special thanks to MInd Candy for the day and Chris and James for their offers of accomodation.

Despite what Mikeyj thinks, everyone seemed better-looking than i imagined so does that even out in the end? Wink

My pics are here, the ones from the eye are wobbly due to the extreme cold that my northern bones just aren't used to. Shocked

Hi ninjagranny. Good meeting you. Did anyone compile a list of answers? I know we finished 21st, which was just off the leaderboard, and I'd quite like to see how many points others had.

ninjagranny, from what I hear, you managed to get down the morse code 5 times, albeit with varying results. It would be fantastic if you could either send the transcripts of the dots and dashes to me or post them up in the london's morse code thread for me.

I'm kinda taking on translat-a-thon until we can get the 2 messages figured out.

We are doing that over here

Though for some questions there is still some ambiguity.

I did ask at the end, and apparently they will be releasing a list of the actual answers.

Hello lovely people!

Hope you're all recovered now, and it looks like everyone had a good time - even if I spent most of the games in the noisy (and slightly disorientating) surroundings of the Trocadero. I'll do a write-up on the day (if we need one from another member of the Crew's perspective!) when I get home tonight. However for now, thanks and love to all the Mind Candy boys and girls, as well as all the splendid volunteers, especially (in no particular order) jojojojo, Bert, Juxta, lhall, and duckie - you guys made my day Smile

Ok, own up - who was it at the Eros fountain - would was taking pictures of my leitmarks?

Ahh, That would be one of us then!

GuyP, Bert and I were based at the fountain. Very cold and chilly place but we enjoyed seeing all your happy smiley faces!

(GuyP was the male of the trio, resembled a michelin man after sucessfully pulling his crew T-Shirt over his coat.
Bert was the shorter blonde taking lots of photos, looking very cold!
I was the tall one with the pink scarf, jumping up and down and running up and down the fountain steps to keep warm.)

During Adrians talk at the beginning, the various Ranger teams sneaked out to respective posts. However, GuyP had left his coat behind the stage, so we left later than we should of... and were completely shocked by the speed of Serpentine Road as they flew past us on our skates. It was at this point we thought. "Ah, we better speed up." so we legged it as fast as we could to the tube.

Upon arriving at Piccadily, we were entertained by the 118 118 choir. We stood around waiting for someone to turn up and people arrived! Yay! Happy smiley people all having fun. We generally directed them to the correct side of the fountain, and listened to everyones queries regarding text messages etc.

We noticed the large build-up of police arriving, and soon enough the protest arrived. At this point, GuyP went to estimate how big this protest was. "About 400 yards long..." so we dutifully telephoned base camp, as we knew the protest was heading towards Leicester Sq and Trafalgar Sq.

After about 10 minutes we realised that the protest was NOT 400 yards long! (Ooops!) It took 20 minutes to pass us, so we estimated it was about a mile long.

In between waiting for teams to turn up, we confused a few passers by with spare red and orange cards, which we advertised as "Free Entertainment" said cards were also dropped in various places across London, mainly tube station escalators.

We returned to base camp, tired and cold where we all promptly collapsed on the floor.

I would like to say thank you to EVERYONE involved with the event. Not just Mind Candy for such a spectacular event, but also to all the players involved. You all made the event what it was, and it gave me real pleasure to see how happy and excited everyone was.

Muchos Funos, roll on the next one! Very Happy

If I've got anyone's name wrong (or you see yourself and would like me to add a name to the pic) just let me know.

I had great fun, and it was good to meet and chat with those who stood still long enough!

Buzman,
I've just found this picture on your flickr set. I dont suppose you or anyone else out there has a picture of the complete banner. I curious about the logo in the top left. Idea If anyone has it, could they post it to the forum, or to flickr and let me know the link.

Thanks

I think the crypt project is a christian organisation and not related to the pagan perplex city.

Thanks Chris, I'm seeing clues everywhere these days. Mostly where they dont exist!

Nothing wrong with a healthy dose of paranoia to keep you sharp. Very Happy
