[NEW]Wave 3 Cards "Taster" Courtesy of Scott and Lhall, at the New York Toy Fair the lovely folks from Mind Candy were showing off some of the cards from the next wave. You'll find the pictures we have here and also here of #001 "Dem Old Bones". Also featured is #004 "Zoo Zanyism" right here
We don't know any more than this - they were promo cards (if you squint you can make out "NYC Toy Fair 2006" and the Mind Candy booth number in the space where the silver panel usually goes). I'm sure that Scott will be able to give more info once he's
recovered from his hangover
up and about today, US time.
Thanks again for keeping us in touch,
J
N.B. I know that Lhall mentioned these already, but I wanted to separate the two threads out, one for the cards and Toy Fair, one for the PCAG event.

Can anyone make out what is written in the text box of the Zoo card?

*something* animals have escaped from the Perplex City zoo. *something something something*....in this picture.
Looks like a visual "Where's Wally?" type puzzle. Don't knock it though...I spent twenty five minutes banging my head against the table trying to work out the last difference between the two pictures on #24 "Double Vision". Ahem. I blame my eyesight.

Ooh! And theres a grey blob that could be a hippo or a rhino!
On initial glance of "Dem Bones" It looks like:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From top, reading left to right:
Tyrannosaurus
Triceratops
Stegosaurus
Not to sure one this one but could be either Alxasaurus, Gallimimus, Coelophysis or a Troödon.
This one: No idea
Pterodactyl (sp?)
EDIT: Added another possibly Dino and changed order.
*jojojojo is very excited about this card...

I have a bunch of notes (and card symbols) for upcoming cards, though don't know if they're Wave 3 or 4. Will update tomorrow (today for you Britons).

Well, it's not *that* exciting The Clash question screens went by pretty quickly, so I didn't have time to get down everything. If only I'd had a decent camera there.
Card #69: Algebragraffiti. Gabriel has explained it a bit here. Didn't get a really good look at this one, since the writing was small and they was switched to another one. Solve for x.
Card #1(something). Done by Caine. (This is the urban parking card.) "At what day and time would you not occur a parking ticket?" Many colorful signs on card, with text like "Friday parking with monkey only."
Five of clubs.
Oddly enough, the next card shown seemed to be titled #010 Spot Anything (like the current published card), but instead was a group illustration of the Mind Candy employees (and others?), with each face lettered. I believe Sente was lurking in the back. (Andrea is F, by the way.)
Card #003. Earth, Sun, and Moon. "Which book is this?" Image of concentric circles with a central image of..cherubs? flowers? fruit? You can a bit of it here.
Seven of diamonds.
Card #...eh. Something red, no doubt. It's the old "As I was going to St. Ives" puzzle (and I've been there, btw! Very lovely place.)
Seven of spades.
That's all I've got on the cards pictured, sadly.

Card #069 Algebragraffiti is in todays Sunday Telegraph.
The first 250 to solve it recieve a free pack of cards - I missed the mark by 30 something places.
The first ten solves all appear to be new to PXC.
Looks like the next wave will arrive soon.

Nice one Poozle.
Fingers crossed they might be wave 3.
Have you solved any of the other PXC puzzles in the Telegraph?

Orange 34 (i think) it's flame bottom left, not got time right now to figure out if that is correct. Called "4 Colour theorem".
Picture of it in GamesTM magazine in an article on ARGs. Can see the picture but not really tell much about the text, will try and scan it and post later on.
From Higher Maths guessing it will be something to do with the proof that any map design can always be coloured in with 4 colours so that no two colours are touching.
Edit - picture now added - it's not that big on the page so apologies for low quality

There was a puzzle like that in the telegraph spread where you had to say what would be in a particular slot, could it be the same?
And does that mean that some of the telegraph puzzles are actually previews of new cards as well, without telling us maybe?
