[QUESTION] Passport stamp on Red & Orange card backs

This seems like such an obvious thing, but when I've searched, I can't find any references at all, so I thought it was worth posting.

On the back of the reds & oranges (i.e. the non-map backed cards), there is an explanation of how to play perplexcity.

Underneath this guide (and to the leftmost edge of the card) is what appears to be a passport. The passport is stamped (the stamp contains the words "high commission of"), and in very small writing the words "visa" and "indian" are visible.

Has there been any reference/discussion about the cube possibly being located somewhere in India?

Never noticed it before - amazing how much you can stare at something and not see everything - but it's actually the Academy logo, which you can see at the top of the page on http://www.perplexcityacademy.com/

I'm not sure it *is* the Academy logo - the words on the Academy logo are the quote about 'to question is the beginning of wisdom', and you *can* see this on the main bit of paper. But the circle of words on the passport like bit is definitely 'High Commission of...'

It does look like a passport. I'd always assumed this was Sente's desk, but if he's got an Indian visa it seems unlikely. Though I guess if I'd thought about it I'd have realised they don't have keyboards like ours either - don't they use their keys for the stuff we use computers for? Hang on, though, that keyboard doesn't look anything like any keyboard I've ever seen. Wow, this is really showing how unobservant I am. Anyone know what it is? Is it maybe some specialist graphic design keyboard or similar? Maybe it's supposed to be the desk of someone at MC. But in any case the Indian visa is intriguing.

gahh, what an eejit I am - I wasn't even looking at the passport, just the logo behind the 6 panels of instructions Rolling Eyes

* please note for futute reference, michael is an idiot...

Right, passport...

There's definitely an Indian Visa stamp (the blue writing), with the number 25 stamped over it. I'd assume this would be the passports number, but the stamp should be under, not over it.

The green stamp says "High Commission of... [Somewhere]" - India has a High Commission. Their site is http://www.hcilondon.net/ - maybe someone can have a look around? I'm at work and am getting daggers from the manager!

edit - the keyboard at the top of the card looks like a smartphone to me. The logos on the visible buttons look like they'd represent...

Space key - Sun type thing - Screen Backlight on/off?
Left - Bluetooth
Down - ?
Right - Infra Red
Menu - uhhhhh, menu

Then a mini joystick for moving your whatever about on screen. So I don't think this is a Key, and it's definitley someone "here's" desk...

If it's important, I'm fairly sure the keyboard is that of a Nokia 9300.

Is there a scan floating about anywhere?

(My two cents: It's just a generic photograph of a desk with a bunch of stuff on to give it that busy, cube-hunting look. The Indian visa stamp quite possibly belongs to you-know-who.)

Oh, are you referring to how Sente is the secret leader of the Third Power and he found a way to dimensionally transport himself from Perplex City to Earth and is hiding the cube in India and he's going to kill Kurt next week before he blows up the world with the super-double-plus-secret-power-of-the-cube? Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too.

Over here several of us have posted details about the new card backs for Season One cards that give a little more detail. As I can't post detailed scans according to what I remember of MC regulations, you'll have to make do with my description. It is most definitely an Indian visa although the part you can see on previous cards is now covered up. There also appears to be another visa highe up which for some reason makes me think of Hong Kong. It's yellowish and stuck to the page and has the words "immigration inspector" in capitals above foreign characters. There's also the edge of a stamp in blue ink on that page. We can also see what I would have thought to be the details page (name etc) except that's the part stamped with the Indian visa which makes no sense. You can't make out much and most of it is in another foreign script, which someone better than me will have to idenitfy.

Since this is changing between waves, I wouldn't have thought it was that significant. But enjoy.
