Well, I joined, because the first ILB interested me greatly, and this one looks good, even if it isn't ILD;

Is it just me, or does what we know so far seem pretty evenly split down the middle between references to Halo and references to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion?

Other than the fact that they're both XBox titles, there's no connection between the two games. It makes this feel like we're dealing with someone with Multiple-Personality Disorder.

On the Halo side of the equation we have references to covenant, lots of 7's, another sword from the Song of Roland, and the word Vista. On the Oblivion side, we have the game's symbol (actually the letter "O" from a font called "Daedric" that's used in the Elder Scrolls Series), the ASCII-art Oblivion Screenshot, the word morrow (possibly short for Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind?), and the fact that Bethesda Softworks just recently announced a release date for Oblivion of March 20th.

The clues are pulling strongly in two different directions, and it's leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Okay, first of all:

Okay, time for the actaul post.

I would not be opposed to a second ILOVEBEES. But, for [dieties'] sake, make the address different from ILOVEBEES2.com. That's too much. It should be a revalation. A sudden - Wow! It's Durga! Not "Look at me, I'm a nonexistant fragment of an AI from the first game!" or "Look! I'm the sequal site!" I'm sure that 42 could come up with a better name than that. 42 also would have put in some sort of clue as to what's going on. I don't think they would have done another timer, but that's just me. Also --

Now, for the big question - if this is a spoof, how long can it last? Could, or more so WOULD, Microsoft or 42 cause a takedown of the page? It seems split between Oblivion and Halo-'verse. If you ask me, that's stretching it a bit far. This page seems way too amaturish to be an actual sequal, unless that's what they're going for. Take us by surprise.

... Yeah, that's going to happen. My verdict:
Not the actual ILOVEBEES2. Cheap rip off. Damn you, for getting my hopes up.
