the problem wasn't really the teams, but more of the stuff said after people left.

That said, as one of the people that left, I missed all of this chat.

I only heard about it from Incit, so I can't comment on it.

Other than this I had a lot of fun tonight. Smile

It was largely people venting that you guys all quit, followed by Incit offering a reason, which was refuted when it was noticed that you were in matchmaking.

Please note: You surrender your right to complain when A) the person never does that sort of thing before. and B) You dirrectly caused it. and C) You have done the exact same thing many many times before with less of a reason.

Tsuki, I had muted your old gamertag after I had tried to tell you in games and in lobbies (repeatedly) that I was getting overwhelmed by your excessive talking, shrieking, and "what? what? what?" when games were being decided on, and strategies were happening in-game.

Last night, I got frustrated when everyone quit, and I didn't actually hear why. If there's proximity speak where you guys are asking for a re-level, and I am clear on the other side of the map, I am not going to hear you. I would suggest sending an actual message to someone on the other team, instead of depending on prox, when things are blowing up, and/or the other team is not within motion tracking distance.

My only true irritation was that Incit tried to make excuses for you (the sudden quitters), citing power problems (due to weather?) at your end. When fugitive then quit, and we saw you in matchmaking, and Incit left the lobby in a huff, I got irritated at him. He accused us of negativity, when to me, it looked like you all quit because you weren't doing well in that game.

I am sorry the leveling issue was an ... issue. We all tried to switch things around, and if you recall, it was difficult. We did move people back and forth, and it was tough to find a balance. We should've done better. FWIW, that last game? Woody (LeTunaMan) was on my team, being a zombie. And if Thorn (fugitive) was joyriding, then that effectively made it your 4 on our 3!

For my part, I apologize for the sour tastes, but I was also frustrated for my own reasons, and it doesn't discount anyone else's frustrations.

I'll be more than happy to work on my diligence to messages sent to me in-game, if others promise to try sending them. Honestly, I didn't know how much of a problem it was with new players and such until afterwards.

(Also, I know a bunch of you are on Skype, communicating, when many of us aren't. I think maybe you think you're getting info across, but if it only goes to others on Skype, the rest of us are in the dark. Not trying to be snarky, here, just suggesting a tiny reason why things are getting lost in the chaos.)

In unrelated news, I think I found a good way for an assault game team to get into the base on Terminal. Using the warthog and a person as a stepladder, I think it may be possible for someone to jump into the defending team's spawn area. If it is, you could get people loaded up with the rockets and BR/carbines to clear the base out before they knew what hit em.

naturally I need to test this with a second player, but it could be handy dandy.

Ok, prox works in game, and true communication is not reliable, like us screaming that the teams are unfair, while we are living for the 5th second after explosions go off. Your right, not a reliable source of comms. But the Pregame loby was where we started to insist on fixing the teams, again claerly with no interruption.

Secondly, Maryland based Power problems did exist, I didn't lie or exagerate on that. And I honestly thought that was the reason for the silent, go-still-then-quit from both her and her brother. The fact I got shit from you guys for bringing that up in the middle of the complaints being thrown around (doing so oh so benignly mind you) is why I left. You want to be so irratated by that, that's cool with me, I don't even pretend to try to understand how you justify yourself anymore.

And I'd also be a little more carefull not to insinuate that someone can't tell the difference between in-game chat over the xbox, and chat routed through a computer headset. because that's borderline insulting, though I'm sure not intended that way, so a truly honest word of caution with your wording there.

On the lighter side, I'm not ever the person to hold a grudge... and I've tried damn hard too (Curse my empathetic persona! :p). So as far as getting over this crap, I won't be any obstacle, still look forward getting sniped at, and then splattering you all with my ghost fendor of death.
I hope you ladies, and gentlemen can work this all out like the adults i know you all are. Because that would just rock
Rock On

If you're 'sure' it's not intended that way, then don't put words in my mouth. I meant it how I meant it: as a possible reason why some stuff does not get communicated in-game. There was no slight intended, at all.

A word of caution to you, there.

I don't know about everyone else but, I had fun last night with everyone.

It's a game. Have fun. If you don't have fun, don't play. Does it really matter that much anyway?

Anyhoo, I had fun and it wasn't because of just one of you, it was because all of you. Especially the time I blew Incit up with the rockets. Twisted Evil

Okay...so I was aiming...a little

Well, since seeing a very clear implication is suddenly "Putting words in your mouth", I guess I'll redirect this to the topic at hand which you should address directly instead of nit picking my posts for "posterity" purposes:

You're forgetting or ignoring the fact that skype is not the cause of any miscommunication. In fact, there was no miscommunication, unless your audio was out in some way. People on your team were asking to fix it as well, the requests where taking place in a civilized manner, without any excitement.

Was there some sensible reason that this all went as badly as it did?
I mean, it's no big deal that they left the game, it's the level at which you verbally proclaimed your offense to it, which is upsetting. Heck, I've seen you do the same thing and intentionally invite everyone save a few people into another party countless times.
Yet leaving a game, where you're being muted or ignored, while getting pounded and having no fun whatsoever is somehow ruder than leaving specific people and inviting others in such a blatant way?

Please tell me I'm wrong and explain to me exactly why this is all justified.
I'm very honestly serious krystyn; I want to understand your perspective better.

You'll have to be more specific, bro.
I counted at least half a dozen times...

Either way, I stopped caring when other people suddenly quit customs to play MM with a smaller group long ago; we went over that kind of behavior last summer.

I never did. Expecially when i'm the 9th for big team battle. But I guess that won't be a problem for me anymore? At least until halo 3...

All right, I wasn't there but I just want to state that if people quit out of a game because they're not having fun and nothing is done about it I understand that. I've been in this situation many times and the only reason I didn't quit out, regardless as to how much I really wanted to, was because I knew that my team could use me. Now I'm probable going to come off as being an ass but that's the only reason for it. I've been frustrated very much so by unfair teams and having to support it when we where just getting pounded time and time again. As I said the only reason that I didn't quit was because I am good at the game and I wanted to help my team, even when there was very little I could do. Now I'm not trying to imply that only bad players quit out of games or people who don't care, I'm just pointing that I've had similar experiences.

Well, on the lighter (less dramatic side of things >.<) Krystyn and Lois helped me big time with an english project over the weekend, we did a 1:30 long scene of from Hamlet and made it all machinima-y. Shane did a kick ass job of helping direct and filming and editing it all together, you rock! I gotta say, it turned out pretty good.
The audio was ripped off of Almereyda's version of Hamlet since we always have issues with dialogue n stuff. I was debating going out n buying a capture card, and then putting together a whole storyline of Hamlet, abridged for sure, but using snippets of dialogue from the different versions.
Would anyone be interested in acting and helping direct that? A few Ibo'ers have shown some interest, but I'd love help from you creative bunch of people.

there's always google video and such. I'd love to see it!

I'd be interested in helping with a longer version, too.
