Now, since I just started looking at this game, I don't know if any of the IG characters refer to others by a single initial, but I wonder if you just need a substitution code from here. I say this because the PM makes such a big deal out of the "@" in the shorttext page....


I don't think this is the right track. Even after a base64 decode there are still too many unique characters for a substitution. Only three repeat characters (@˱) and each of them is only repeated twice.

If we are looking at a substitution at all then it seems more likely it will be with the original ciphertext, which gives a fairly decent freq distribution if upper and lower cases are considered to be the same letter...but that doesn't seem altogether likely anyway.


edit: correction, there are five repeat characters after b64 conversion... i overlooked the comma and carriage return
