2nd annual strifey's birthday trail

It's strifey's birthday again, and time for another birthday trail. Your journey begins here:

http://www.wonderweasels.org/strifey/2006.html

Please be aware that this isn't your typical puzzle trail. I like to call this style preschool level, so 90% of the time, don't over think it. If you do over think, you might run across last years puzzle trail and end up following that for a while. You'll know you've found the right trail when you find the Welcome Sign.

edit: btw, if anyone needs hints, lemme know. The first puzzle is probably one of the trickiest of the bunch. The odd wording is there for a reason.

Thanks Rowan -- finally a puzzle trail at my level.

Happy Birthday, Strifey.

The ferrets must be eating well, today.

And here, I thought Strifey was a brunettes-only guy. Wink

EDIT:
Aww. Rowan's a meanie. I have to go back to the beginning. Sad
EDIT2:
Took a longer route, but still have to go back to the beginning. Sad Sad

Aww, I'm beginning to think you're on last year's trail, which technically you haven't started from the beginning. If you really want to start that one from the beginning, try using the url http://www.wonderweasels.org/strifey/startpm.html

Or, if you really hate ciphers try:

So far, it's been an affair to remember. Wink
Am I chasing the wrong rabbit?

That 2nd pass was due to the initials in the note when I went back to the start.
I've found a MUCH more challenging branch, but it is still "under" the
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"thecarebears" branch.
One of the files is a year old, so I probably am on the wrong path.

I have a feeling I'm on the wrong path too, with all these pictures of Carebears and talks about potential P-I-L-Fs.

i found my way past the carebears, but i don't know what question to answer about the baby thingy

p.s. what was the "obscure" answer to last years puzzle? I made it all the way to the end and couldn't get past the next to last page!

I'm guessing you're talking about the fairy with the crib.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You need the name of the fairy from an old Disney film. The title of the page gives you the name of one of the songs from the movie.

I'm not exactly sure which "obscure" answer you're talking about. If you're talking about the part where it says Go back and Try Again:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You need to go back to the first Splash page and use a special program to find something hidden inside the picture.

That was fun, Rowan. A big help with my "overthinking" penchant. Shanks for sharing.

AAh! I made it to the end of both years' puzzle trails and can't get to the very last page of either this yr or last.

If you've made it to The End of this year's trail, you really do have everything you need to find the pony.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You just need to take another look at your answers. If you didn't take the correct path, you'll end up having lots of problems trying to get the correct answer.

After that, you're going to have to check around for a set of new instructions upon your first meeting with the bear, the elephant and the giraffe. World Tours are a little different than pre-school trails after all. Very Happy

Very nice trail Rowan, though I still don't like that Vatican Gnome.
