Took a look. ddin't seem like much use to me. I even removed all symbols except letters and numbers...and that didn't bring up anything...then i removed letters...again, nowt.
But for those at home still playing along...i present only letters and numbers...
EDIT here is a list of anagrams of the sequence of letters below.
(I didn't feel like making a new post JUST for that)

the message on the http://www.hyp3rn3xus.com/318579245323467583/ page has changed--
it now reads:
"First Try.... Well Prepaired...."
and the page is black (at least it is on my mac)
(spelling on "Prepaired"?)
edit:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
upper left corner rollover reveals: //6=quota."

It's part of the same hidden message on another page of his. I think it's still there because he used the same template and just forgot to change it.
Considering this lad spells "prepared" wrong, i think it's the kind of thing he'd do.
I think we're going to have to wait for this one...I can't think of a thing.
I've pm'd him instead of trying to email. Let's wait and see what happens...

It's not something I'd normally bother to mention except that no-one seems to have mentioned it already. I'm guessing it might be some new part of the source or else I just missed earlier reference to it. Source at http://www.hyp3rn3xus.com/318579245323467583/ contains...
Code:
<h1 align=center>
<font face=Courier color=#000000 style=letter-spacing:3pt>HELLO.
<p>i KNOW WHAT <font color=red>trent</font> WONT TELL YOU.<p>WOULD you LIKE TO PLAY A GAME?</font></h1>
which sounds nice and all, buut adds very little to an actual knowledge base.
There is a lot of script in this page; I'm viewing through mozilla and it looks pretty much black to me, is something else showing up in other browsers?
edit: checked it out in IE and I suppose I'm seeing what is meant to be there through that.

Yup, it's in all the pages on his site, so it's old news I'm afraid.
I'm not sure why it can't be seen though though. Methinks he's got his scripting wrong or something...

Ahhhhh, okay. I knew it was that or a very similar message that started the whole thing off, but I didn't realise it was actually appearing on every page.
Lucy crawls back under rock and thinks about the qualities of eighties hard rock as compared to mid-nineties pop-rock

It's ok. It doesn't actually appear on every page, but the code is there in all the source codes. It's easy to miss.

I guess I should check my e-mail a little more often, eh? This exchange is a few days old...

get to the next key beforehand, k?
My game is not as amusing anymore.

There's no way you could possibly have my address. So, now I'm left to wonder - what could this package be?

Would you like a key?
I could make you one.....
Give me a place to airship it to you
Dont worry... we have no plans to visit you...
after all, this is just a game, wright?
Ok...it looks like our next key is something Wright Brothers related. I've tried a few possibilities, but haven't found anything yet.

hmm....i'm not sure if it's Wright Brothers related, maybe he was just offering to send you the key before he gave us this puzzle....
from all the spelling errors in this game, i wouldn't put a lot of weight on the misspelling of this word.
although......now that I type that didn't the message say something about whenever there's an error, i'm most likely there?

Normally I'd agree, but "right" is a hard word to misspell. Plus the fact that he said he'd "airship" it to me.
I also thought I'd mention that Scyne DJs the pirate radio station on Thursday Noon - 3 PM, and Sunday 6 PM - 9 PM. (Pacific Time) As much as I hate the music they play, Scyne's shows might have more clues to what we're supposed to do next. He said one time before that Keymaker screwed up the broadcast, and played some kind of message.

I sooooooooo not trying to get involved (as usual)... but perhaps the spelling is on purpose?
Pre-pair-ed. In the key image, are there any pairs of symbols? Do these pairs spell something, or perhaps without the pairs the image is different?
I'm just tossing out ideas. I don't have time for an arg right now , but I can still watch!

interesting thought, Obes. i tend to think you're correct. then maybe we should pay attention to the //6=quota." on the Pre-pair-ed page as well -- hmmm.

It looks like Scyne is no longer a DJ....or at least he's disappeared. So it looks like we really need to figure out how we're supposed to contact the keymaker. All of the other characters are absent from the internet.

my sunday afternoon spec:
i'm thinking jason and scyne have disappeared -- somehow associated with the sinister phone calling. anybody have any ideas on "the key"? i have tried anagram with and without the numbers (substituting letters for numbers) and nothing that seems obvious comes up. i'm still wondering if the fact that their are 18 numbers and letters is significant.. sorry but i'm afraid i have more questions than answers today.
