If that's the symbol for the moon, you might like to know that there is a partial lunar eclipse tonight (midnight GMT 14/15th March) and a total solar eclipse on the 29th March (in Nigeria). Of course this might just be a coincidence.

EDIT: Nevermind. I found it.
Regarding the new page and it's title "shinkan"... This is probably just a weird random hit in Google, but "shinkan" and "wolf" bring back a page with a quote: "Silence is the prologue to fear." .
Note also, the "Kilroy was here" scrawl in the upper left corner of the main window. Anybody familliar with the world of megaman who could offer their opinion on this?

*sputters, falls over, and dies*

M3, the site you found, is definitely out of game. It's a MUSH, a text-based online RPG. Shinkan Wolf was a former Yakuza dude who didn't do very much at all. The 'Kilroy Was Here' thing is just a matter of style, a little flourish for the Civilians faction.
I know this because I've played there for four years (currently as Feste). If M3 ever hides a kloo, it will be entirely my fault. :D

That site may be out of game, but it made me realize Shinkan was japanese. A quick lookup reveals Shinkan to mean Silence. (Or annex, fuse, new book or publication, or Shinto priest)

Is it just me, or is this countdown going to last forever? Random quotes from non-related subjects?

Hopefully, I could be completely wrong.

I wouldn't call them "random", they seem to follow a kind of pattern, and it looks as though the countdown (might) finally end tommorrow. Too bad I'll be 5 hours away from my computer Sad

The interesting thing (to me anyway) is the mixing of the cultural ideograms/ideas so far (Chinese/Japanese/Korean, Norse, did I see Spanish referenced somewhere?)....

ok...back to shinkan.
This is only slightly troutish

But one of the definitions for Shinkan seems to Be "a Time Fuze"

and and and!

Regarding sairansu

this apears to be the written roomaji for the katakana word for silence
In Jpn. the R is pronounced more liek an L
Sooo:

Sailansu

Sailans

Silence...What is the silence?

All Katakana words are English words (usually), pronounced in Jpn...Atleast to my knowledge

Example: Stanford --> Sutanfado; Snackbar --> Sunakkubaaru

And, back to Shinkan...towards the begining didn't our stalker man mention several things about time travel?

Time fuze?

Hmm....connection?

I have a bit of background in Japanese but it has been a long while. I totally didn't get the sairansu but you are completely correct. On the other hand I'd like to know where you got time fuze for shinkan... I can't say I've seen that before, nor is it in any of my dictionaries, online or off. Just wondering...link please?

EDIT:Wow, insomnia leads me to a lot of stuff.

1. the Carmenta page has been changed
lots of interesting stuff here….firstly, the bit at the top decodes to this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Carmenta Forever Sleeps

the quote on the page led me to this discovery:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Fenrir or Fenris was a giant wolf who was chained by the gods because a prophecy said he would cause the end of the world. He eventually breaks free of the gods who have chained him. They chain him again with an enchanted ribbon made from "the footstep of a cat; the roots of a mountain; a woman's beard; the breath of fishes; the sinews of a bear; and a bird's spittle." The ribbon was called "Gleipnir." It worked, Fenris could not break free. Seeing that they had tricked him, the gods took Fenrir a mile into the earth and chained him to a rock. On the day of Ragnarok, Fenrir will break free and devour Odin. Vidar, Odin's son will avenge his father's death by killing the wolf. Ragnarok sounds like a doozey of a day, meaning the end of the cosmos. Two wolves will devour the sun and moon, plunging the world into darkness. After a gigantic battle in which every god seems to die, the world will catch fire and then sink into the sea. Thank you http://www.pantheon.org

2.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
William has gone missing

EDIT #2:

3: Vidar's hall is named "Vidi" which brought me here:

The quote on the livejournal comes from William Shakespeare :

Portia to Bassanio -

Let music sound while he doth make his choice;
Then, if he lose, he makes a swan-like end,
Fading in music: that the comparison
May stand more proper, my eye shall be the stream
And watery death-bed for him.

(The Merchant of Venice 3.2.46-50)
