[PUZZLE] Character ID's from hacker transcripts

In order of the original aquapolis carelessly file time stamps we have the following characters:

mp3
jpg (most agree this is caesar)
wsg
gif
lhp
kbp
graffle
bh
m_u
txt (most agree this is texel)
goo
doc
ypt
qm2
mic

We should be seeing more "meetings" in the future that will give us more info regarding character identification so this archive may prove useful.

I think itīs a good idea to try and get all polemics concerning the Silvia, Carelessly and unjust files in a single thread - I find myself bouncing all over the forum to see what you peeps figure out (hopefully triggering some well hidden spot in my own brain Smile

- A conversation seems to be going on between these hackers - but what are they talking about? The spike?
In a mail from Beth to Phil (9/30/03) she mentions a spike in the stats, seeming to coincide with whatever happened to her research files.
Would this be the same spike as the hackers speak of? How does it fit, timewise, with the incidents in Bethīs files at Littleboxes?

Parallel timelines on the littleboxes-files, plot incidents and hacker conversations might be in order....

unjust2.jpg mentions someone named Bounce. The "whomp" image makes me think it's ".bh"...

Now this guy has been bugging me for some time. We get nothing from him, Nada. And yet the style is so familiar.

Did you ever send secret messages as a kid? When we did, we used words where the end letters made up the message (ok we were kids, it didn't have to be hard). I don't know if this has a specific term.

The beauty of this was you could use pretty much any word where the last letter fit and in doing so could make it into a story, a poem, anything.

"Its Google, Google, mini skirt, pass me Toga its my shirt. Go Dad Go"

Thats the way we did it as kids and I can't help wondering if something similar is going on here. Only more complex

So then what the heck does "Its Google, Google, mini skirt, pass me Toga its my shirt. Go Dad Go" mean? From your explanation I got:

"See, It, Seasyt. Odo"

Hey, I give you the method and you still get it wrong. What hope? Rolling Eyes Very Happy

I said nothing about punctuation, this is a kids system after all Laughing

The puctuation was added to make the line scan well. On reflection the word "me" would have been better as "the", oh well.

All you need to do now if figure out the official ones Wink

If this is the right direction. Any thoughts?

Edit: This is just too close for comfort backwards?

This is a great idea to try and track the big picture emails, etc... by timeline at the USH sites in the context of these conversations. You can view the "conversations" above as Word documents.

Post any findings here since I was hoping this thread would lead to identifiction of the actual names in relation to the file extension id's.

This is why I think we're missing something fundamental - perhaps a first hidden directory pointed to by the original image at paintover.net. I've been trying, can't find anything hidden where I think it should be (paranormaljournal.com).

I gave thanks to Yanka whose document I improved and updated from your link (see above Docs available for view) and is now available in a consistent format with the Carelessly and Silivia files.

So...we have the following transcripts

All Hacker Transcripts Can Be Viewed Here In A Consistent Format:

So does anyone want to continue to work on identifying these hackers besides the obvious Caesar and Texel...?

Sure ... how about:

bh = *something not human*, responsible for the whomps (based on silvia2.bh response to silvia.lhp that the mysterious program responsible for the whomps has 'huge feet')

graffle = Omni (based on successful interpretation of silvia.graffle and Texel's comment in silvia3.txt)

kbp = Mello (based on carelessly.kbp response to carelessly.lhp)

mic=Scratch (signs many messages this way, responses by Caesar)

mp3=Statik (based on carelessly.mp3)

ypt = Random (based on gif's comment in bigmclargehuge.gif)

Still missing: doc, gif, goo, kbp, lhp, m_u, qm2, wsg.

It looks to me like Bounce could be lhp or qm2, but I don't think we can be sure yet.

Hmm, I'm still not at all convinced that Statik has anything to do with these guys. He's a perfectly normal poster over on matrixfans.net. The "Statik" image was posted by .mp3 a good four hours before Caesar (.jpg) posted his "Roll call - first to the spot" image. Sounds to me like Caesar thinks he got there first...which would make sense, considering he posted the paintover image.

Actually, Caesar posts the image at 1:15am on Oct. 5th. The Statik pic is posted at 10:36pm on the 4th! Then Caesar posts "Roll call" at 2:39am on the 5th, as would be logical... further evidence that the pic isn't really part of the storyline. This is strange...makes me wonder why they used .mp3 for this, rather than a completely different hacker. He posts pretty normal things later, except for the strange "I'll call you."

At any rate, I think it might simply be the PMs pulling back the curtain a teeny bit to say congrats to the guy who first started this. I could, of course, be totally and completely wrong. Wouldn't be the first time...
