Nice job guys! Curse my need to sleep. Anyway, just thought I'd point out a few little things...

The symbol that links to the weird image seems to be the eternity link, yet it's squared off instead of rounded.

Also, the title (shinkan) leads me to this:

Quote:
Quote: "Silence is the prologue to fear."

Profile: Skill and mastery, while may be unimportant to some, are the makings of Shinkan--A reploid whose steps ripple silence. Once a fierce Assassin, Shinkan was known for his predatory skills in seeking his designated target and his slow methods of executing them--Something that coupled well with his frightening armor mode of the feral, black Wolf. But his creation itself was thought of as nothing more than a legend. Some people rather disbelieve in the Assassin, as there is no trace to his creation or any trace of his kills. Shinkan's predatory Wolf mode also gives way to his true form, a powerful Ninja forged with the blood of the Yakuza; his skill unmatched by many. Shinkan can generate a field of silence in his Wolf mode that dampens the sound surrounding him for some distance. It is this ability to has led many to grow afraid of serenity. But no fear would come greater than to those who face the 'Kouken Garou', Shinkan's Ultimate Technique.

from here: http://www.megamanmush.com/profiles/shinkanwolf.html (megaman character?)

The wording under the blocks of the image is hard to read, but what I got was:

Quote:
The wolf for the father
Silence and Vegance
(???) is dead

The name looks like Odin, but it's very hard to see

And the name of the image is sairansu, which was spelled out by the red letters

EDIT: Oh, and I got the email too. Same thing as everybody else

It's primary meaning was probably "day" in the sense of dawn, I would think.
"Light", "breakthrough" and "success" are related associative terms.
Being a rune, it relates to the Norse theme.

Did anyone notice the title of the kunstmatig page is now "Messenger of Veritas"?

Also, the rune at the bottom of that same page is Norse and it means

DAGAZ: Daylight, Dawn
Night shifts into day; for a moment, opposites are reconciled, the paradox of spirit and flesh transcended. One liminal instant arises in which, if radical faith and intense willpower are fused, a leap can be taken which will forever alter the Pattern of your life. Be alert; recognize this moment, and seize it. This is the Rune of BREAKTHROUGH.

Been mentioned. I think we all need to make sure we're not repeating anything from now on...

Ok, some of it isn't old news. Sorry.

Actually, there was a lot of good new info in jenni42ld's post:
Total cionfirmation of the "Dawn" reference
A possible crosslink to "fuse"
Anw a possible hint that we are making a "breakthrough".

Making some of the references I posted a little less nebulous.

Just a quick note on the rune~

-Dagaz is the rune of Odin (Odhinn)
-It is a rune in the third aett; Tyr's aett
-It's "letter" is 'd'
-Besides being the rune of dawn, it is also the rune of twilight; these times are often considered to be "magical," a thinning of a veil between the worlds, "fairy time," what have you. Razz So then there's also the whole "heightened awareness" type of thing that goes along with that. You get the idea.
-"Negative Meaning: The only difficulty would be its manifestation in the life of someone who did not want or who was not prepared for it." Randomly wild thoughts-ness, but to me it sounds a little like William. With the whole not-accepting thing. Just kinda random. ^^; I'll shut up now.

Lovely, lovely information obtained from www.futhark.com.
~Mossy, the mentally unstable

PS- futhark.com also has some nice info on the Norse Gods and Goddesses.

Odhinn (Wodan)
Quote:
Ruler of the Ęsir, the All-Father, God of the runes, inspiration, shamanism, magic and war. God of the hanged and the Wild Hunt; God of storm, rain and harvest. A shape-shifter, he makes men mad or possessed with a blind raging fury. He produces the battle panic called "battle-fetter". Three different frenzies or madness are his gifts to humankind: the warrior in battle, the seer in trance, and the poet in creativity. Subtle, wily, mysterious and dangerous, he often ignores pacts made in honor with humans. Attended by his two ravens (Huginn and Muninn), two wolves, Freki and Geri, to whom he gives his food for he himself consumes nothing but wine, and the Valkyries. Feared by ordinary people and worshiped only by princes, poets, the berzerkers, and sorcerers. Unpredictable when invoked.

Tyr, Tiwaz
Quote:
The Norse god of law and justice. Tyr rules over the administration of right and honorable justice, so he is invoked for victory and is therefore an important war god. In northern mythology, it is Tyr who sacrifices his hand between the jaws of the Fenris wolf in order to save his fellows gods from destruction.

Anybody familliar with vidaronline.com?

I tried vidar.atspace.com (based on the new page title) and got dropped into an IRC session related to that site. Looks Pretty OOG, but there are some people like "Howler" and "L0ne Wolf" online. So far nobody has replied to my "Kinda silent in here" comment.

Channels listing on the server seems to indicate it's primarily an RPG crowd.

Hey, I just had a thought.

Maybe we should set an IM convo so that we're ready when the countdown finishes. Maybe we can use AIM or MSN or something...

somehting i just noticed, but is probably not that important. Last night when i first went to the new Vidi page it was just called "Vidar" and "for the new world" was not in bold.

Today the title of the Vidi page is "Vidar:: VERITAS_FRAG [Class 4 viralKbot]"

ooooo......kewl new update on http://vidi.atspace.com/

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
... In ATc 3274, Dr. Martin Orwell performed the first successful scan of a
human brain. The results of this scan, the brain map, were carefully studied
and simulated for a number of years. In 3277, Orwell unveiled the Galaxy's first kBotic
brain -- an exact replica of a human one; capable of choice, emotion, and every other aspect of human thought.

This first brain, named Buri, became the foundation for an all new AI science called
Kunstmatig Robotic Studies, or "kBotics." Eventually the brains were placed inside
kSuits, allowing the brains to have bodies. By 3284, Centuria Calloda passed the Birthing
Bill, allowing government-sponsored laboratories to create a specific number of kBots every year,
giving them the right to live among humans, work, and even spawn.

By 3300, kBots became common-place. The Global Security Network, VERITAS, is actually a very
advanced kBot capable of entering any security zone if given adequate approval by Calloda.
If in danger, VERITAS can actually Fragment, giving it the ability to attach itself to a lesser
kBot and take over its brain via Viral Spawning. ...
