Shocked I've clearly been going out with the wrong type of geek Wink

Surely if someone (Miranda, Jason, V...) forced Cymbalisty to overdose on ceretin then wouldn't Cymbalisty become a hyper genius before his brain finally explodes? And would this not mean that he could find some way of leaving a subtle secret message for us to find explaining what happened?

I don't think Cymbalisty really knows about us and how we've been spying on him and his work on the Granier diary so he wouldn't have any reason to leave a secret message for us. The general feeling is that the drugs rendered him unconscious for a number of hours before his actual death. If he had been conscious and aware of his predicament then, hyper genius or not, surely the most intelligent thing to do would be to try and summon help (ambulance, police, Anna, etc) rather than create secret messages.

Perhaps something to consider is why his key did not summon the emergency services when it detected him as being unconscious...

I thought that keys monitored such things. Was it disabled on his key?

I suppose it depends how sensitive keys are - can they distinguish between drug-induced unconsiousness and natural unconsciousness (i.e. sleep)?

I think we need to get Kurt to go through the police reports to see if anything strikes him as glaringly out-of-place (I would say Anna too but asking someone to look through their friend's autopsy report seems a little distasteful even for wanton criminals such as us lot Wink ).

re: Miranda, what's the chance of a geek like Kurt having such a hot girlfriend? OOG This is a game designed for geeks and it will make them feel better, however TINAG its suspicious that a hotty like her would go for him, even if she is a 'librarian'.

Not that I'm hot Laughing , but it's no secret that I'm the biggest Kurt fangirl ever, and his geekiness only makes me /swoon more. Wink

That said, Miranda is evil, and she gets my vote for Bad Guy in this situation. Hopefully there's more to my suspicion than jealousy. Wink

Pffffft.....It's quite clear that all of the UnFiction ladies are indeed "hawt". Why, it was only last week that we were discussing plans for the "Girls of UnFiction" calendar. It'll be tasteful of course, very arty.

Smile

We may even have film in some of the cameras.

*Small Geezer thinks a mod should come in here and rename this the "Flirt Outrageously Thread"*

How do we get from dead man and cover up to geeks are great in bed and most *people* want Chuck Norris? I think the answer may be a cute but scary creature that floats about on lakes and eats people that feed him bread!!!

So true (Yeah, I'm a geek...)

It could be that his brain was firing off so much as a result of the ceretin that the key thought he was still conscious...

As for that super-genious thing, Jason did say that he was being very talkative, maybe the ceretin WAS having some kind of adverse effect?

I think mainly because Duckie wanted to brag about how she was getting some good geek lovin'.

We have had some indications of what keys can do...I remember some things put together from the Gatehouse logs way back when. Emotional state and biometrics amongst other things...so a lot more sophisticated than simply old lub-dub Smile There was spec about this at the time (you'll have to search the Project Syzygy archive for that...I can't find a nice easy link). Perhaps we could do with an exhaustive list of key capabilities? And maybe we could get hold of the info on his key (or get someone to see whether it was tampered with)?
