i can't see one either. Maybe it's because the scan isn't good enough (some of them are very tricky to see), or it could be because 2 is a special prime number and they didn't bother.
How many primes up to 256?

I don't think it's a scan of a paper card, but rather a totally digital version. MC probably left the card suit and letter bits off this to keep it sekrit. Likely the paper version will have them, though.
(and are those snowflakes from Make-a-Flake? love that site!)

In the mini version on the actual pxc site, you can pretty distinctly see the letter bits on the top left (darker grey on the white bit) and maybe the bottom left. Also if you look at the bottom right of the window, there seems to be a larger black dot than on the bigger card image. I'm thinking this should be a spade symbol? (I'm not just seeing things am I??)
And yeah, it'd probably be best to leave these out for promotion, so as not to confuse people.

So the text near the number 1 looks like it says "anna." Is this just the artist? I'm just curious, as the cards I ordered haven't arrived yet and I don't know if this is a normal sort of thing...

Yes totally normal it just signifies that anna was the puzzle scribe who created the card.

Yes I can clearly see lettering on the left side and not the right, i.e. a spade card. It makes sense that they'd leave it off the larger version, to avoid confusing teh n00bs, like you said.
Edits: My guess is an 'M' top left and an 'O' or similarly rounded letter at the bottom.
This would make it an excellent candidate for the 8 of Spades.
