[HALO] New novel and link to ILB

THere's a new Halo novel on the way titled "Halo: Ghost of Coral"... it hasn't been officially annoinced by Bungie but it is now listed on amazon.com with an october release date.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0765315688/qid=1142803697/104-5043484-3616701

To my knowledge, Coral has not been mentioned anywhere outside ILB. THat, plus the recent mention of The Apocallypso, definitely lifts the status of ILB in Halo Canon!

Coral is mentioned in the Conversations With the Universe booklet, which came with the Special Edition of Halo 2.

Basically, in that an archealogical team dug up a Forerunner structure on the planet, and were investigating.

It'll be interesting to see if any parallels (or contradictions!) to ILB show up in this book.

sweet!

So the question is, what in the world could be so special about this version to warrant a $233.10 price tag?

Ahh, my lad TC.. had you looked closer you would've seen that it's only $233.10 if you're ordering 18 copies of the book (presumably for schools/small stores). If you're only after one copy you'll find that it costs just $12.95

(I linked to the wrong one anyway)

And, just for completeness.
A little googling (which is now officially a verb due to common usage) turns up the Tor website and specifically the schedule page which lists the book as being released in November as a Tor trade paperback.

Actually, it's not for sure going to have a single shred to do with Coral. It's simply a working title says Frankie.

So, it could have to do with Coral, but thats not for sure by any means. Either way, <3 Nylund, so it'll rock. If you like the Halo novels, I highly suggest you pick up either of his Signal books "Signal to Noise" and "Signal Shattered".
