This had to be one of the best games I've ever played on live.
Start to finish lag, and controller problems to top it all off.
But I managed to Jack a ghost, kill the driver, spin-cartwheel style over the ridge bordering offensive pit and the ribs, and land aiming straight at what looked like 2 team members and the flag.
So I boosted, and plowed into what must have been no less than 4 members of the enemy team including the carrier, and the ghost did a dorsal abductive flip originating right at the center of the pile of enemies. Then for the first time ever I got a killtacular in a Live Ranked match, killing the entire enemy team, and re-securing the flag for the moment.
All-in-all, this made up for an entire night of suck game play and out-ranking. Smile

On the note of the earlier match, I realize I upset some people, and wanted to explain and apologize to everyone, about the mess.

So to everyone, who respectfully, and aggravatingly wanted to know what actually happened...
The lobby times were excessive to say the least while waiting for a new game, and the chit-chat was irritating the heck out of me. So I declared my intentions to take a short leave, rolled my volume down and pulled out my text book and went digging for the information relevant to my last conversation that I was definitely confusing. Now I'm sorry if the game started without my knowledge and I caused some imbalance in the teams. I did realize the game started a few moments later and went to play.
Though the first thing I hear rolling the volume up is "I'm going to boot you the second we hit lobby, incit, I'm not taking you sh*t tonight." coming from Jinx.
Now weather I was being ignored or I was not being heard as was the case in later games tonight, seems to be irrelevant. And I don't even think it's worth noting that I've never actually idled through a game before, nor have I built any kind of reputation for quitting a game that I'm not in favor of, regardless of who I play with.
So my appologies about the situation, as I know a few people were not happy with what happened.

-edit- You'll excuse the clipping, come morning, cooler heads always hold regrets...

I'll put it this way-and this is something that bothers me no matter who's doing it, so it's by no means solely directed at you-but if you're in need of taking a few minutes off to do something else, I would just let people know and hop out of the party and sit in the menu til it's done. No sense in dragging the team down or otherwise irritating them with a real life conversation the entire matchup.

While I'm here, I also get annoyed when someone keeps bothering me to give them a weapon I picked up and am doing quite fine with, to the point where they stop paying attention to the fact that there's enemies who would also like me to give them said weapon. Not the first time it happened last night, but it's rarely someone I'm actually partied with.

this has happened to me on a few occasions with other people mid game. since im talking about custom games its no big deal but i wouldnt go as far as to yell at the other person about it seriously, its just a game. As for matchmaking ive given up with playing with certain people because i have no respect for them at all, like i said its just a game. some people seem to forget that.

It may be a custom game, but it's nothing but frustrating if there's someone on your team who isn't doing anything.

As for talking, I know the Xbox 1 has a mute button on the headset that I use when I'm talking to someone IRL Razz

Well, see, the purpose of a game is to have fun. It's kind of hard to have fun when you know that you're not doing as well as you could be because part of your team has foregone helping you to do whatever.

I'm fairly certain that if you're in a friendly basketball game at the park, and one of your teammates just wanders off to talk with someone random at the sidelines while the game is still going on, you're not going to be happy, and you'll be wary of playing with that person again. I mean, it's no less casual a game than a custom game, but it's still taking away from your enjoyment, and is kind of rude on the person who's not paying attention's part.

Also, you have to be a pretty sick person to insult Doctor Who in my presence, for it is a Very Good Show.

At the same time, s*** happens, esp. more often at home playing video games than when you're outside on a basketball court in a park with the rest of your life farther away. ;p

As for the Dr. Who thing, who said what? I'm totally lost there.

I'm sorry Uber, But i watched the first half of what you called the pilot, and I just found it to be the most extravigantly silly show I've ever seen. I couldn't tell if it was actually trying to be serious or not at first, you know like the Jason 3+ movies, making fun of the genre by it's own existance.

And at a basketball game, no, you don't just wander off. But in comparison, I took a brief leave before the game, and was counted in while away, then came back with a twisted ankle...
Though to be honest I totally suck at basketball for a tall agile guy... :/

But again, it was my mistake, not one I've ever made before, but one I do accept responcibility for. Now, aside from this banter is there anything else I can do to settle this matter? Mabey a rematch game or something along those lines? Or must I offer a pound of flesh from some unsuspecting child?

ooh, ooh! A basketball game!

Well that's the whole thing to Doctor Who-it's a lighthearted series. Even later in the season when it gets darker(starting around episode 6)it never reaches the levels of Galactica, nor does it try to. It's appealing to a different crowd.

Either way the pilot episode wasn't much for story, rather being an introduction to Rose and The Doctor as characters. The second episode that aired after that was much better(hell, better than I even remembered it being).

I watched an episode all the way through last night. I think I'll give it a second shot, It seems to be a fun-more-than-serious show, and i thought parts of it where pretty funny.
