[Spec] Eagle Future This might be completely utterly irrelivent, but does no one see a link between the phrases
Quote:
I think if you take a hard look at yourself you'll find you're back where you started
and
Quote:
Ever get the feeling that somebody is watching your every move? You know, the tingly feeling at the back of your neck
See, if i was to take those two in their literal meaning, i would assume that i was being bugged via an implanted bug on the back of my neck (tingly feeling at back of neck, and take a hard look at yourself, you'll find yourself BACK where you started) Meaning, basicly, check there and you might find something. Make another thread of this if ya want, jst summit that popped into my head in a moment of sleepyness. Do any other Eagle futures say anything like this?

So, did you find the implant in the back of your neck? I checked mine and there's nothing there, lol.

*blinks*
Um... yeah... right... cause the two totally unrelated and completely temporally distinct statements can't mean anything other than the 3P have implanted a bug in Kurt's neck...
/me wants some of whatever Kiz is on.

Okay, when I read these two lines, I think as follows:
Quote:
I think if you take a hard look at yourself you'll find you're back where you started
Well, that didn't work, now we're back where we started
Quote:
Ever get the feeling that somebody is watching your every move? You know, the tingly feeling at the back of your neck
Reading this line, I think "They want us to be paranoid, possibly about the 3rd Power."
Nowhere does the idea of an implant at the back of the neck come to me. Really, I think this spec is a little too far out there, but that's me
/me shrugs

Futures
By Madame Bianca, for the week of April 1st
The Eagle (March 11 - April 10)
This week will be largely uneventful, except for your regularly scheduled line-dancing, alien abduction and anal probe on Tuesday night and the subsequent hunting down and memory erasure by the "Men in Black".
P.S. Don't forget your tin-foil helmet.
...however did we miss this?!

Hold on Juxta, maybe you're being a little bit hasty. How about this from The Maze
Quote:
If you make them by Thursday afternoon, they have a much better chance of being well-received
Well if you think about things while thinking outside of the box 'well-received' could mean receiving a transmission so maybe something, I don't know what but something, will happen on Thursday afternoon.
Hey that's only tomorrow and it says we have to make something. Maybe we have to make something that will interefere with the transmission and somehow, I don't know how but somehow, get it to Kurt. We'd better get to work quite quickly on this.

I'd say that:

Might be your answer, what with today being a Wednesday. Ahh, comfy chairs.
And also:
Quote:

Might be refering to the email we are supposed to be sending asking questions to Claire.
If not then i've got a half-built Tracy Island we can incorperate somewhere!
F.A.B. (Fast Atom Bombardment? Well knowing the exact mass of the disaster might help i suppose )

er, when I read
Quote:
Ever get the feeling that somebody is watching your every move? You know, the tingly feeling at the back of your neck? No? Well, maybe you should have that feeling. No reason in particular.
I immediately think of
Quote:
Do you ever have the feeling that someone's watching you? When the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, when you know if you turn round you'll see them, but you don't turn round?

depends how litural u wanna take it though. if you take it as someones "stalking" you and watching you then fine, take it like that, but you can also take it as someone is watching you through other means (big grother style)
I thought a large part of this game was tryin to see seemingly normal things from every angle and every possibilty, IE thinking outside of the box, so how come when I try that and post what i thought on the off chance it could go somewhere,it gets ripped to shreds?

No, it's about approaching seemingly normal things from the angle of reason rather than the angle of insane.
Clues will mainly have a big sign next to them saying 'I am a sign and I am signing you in the direction of a Clue'. Specs are fine, and largely to be welcomed, but they are better if they have evidence to back them up rather than a 'feeling', or because of some sort of a zen thing, or because someones crystals have the right amount of convlacuturual energy flowing through their nadir.

There's nothing wrong with posting any type of correlations or connections, no matter how tenuous some people may think them. I like that kiz posted this, even if I don't necessarily follow - made me notice the eerie similarity between that future and V's murder message (as noted above).
Sometimes we can think too predictably...
