Perplex City Catch-Up Lately, the world of Perplex City has seen many new players around. Most of whom seem confused and disorientated about what is currently going on in this "game".
To this effect, a small group of "older" players, who have been around since near the beginning of the game have banded together to provide a small service to the newer people. Skenmy, brat-sampson, lhall and myself have decided to put together a small webchat for any players to ask questions about things they do not understand about Perplex City, or to find out more about things they have missed.
This webchat will be held entirely in IRC. For those who have access to an IRC client and know how to use it you can connect by connecting to irc.chat-solutions.org and joining the channel #pxccatchup . (Maybe someone else could post more detailed instructions later)
We have also set up an in-browser chat client which was kindly donated by AppliedIRC for those who would prefer a simpler approach. (Do not use the colours in the browser client, your messages will not be sent if you do.)
During the chat your questions will be taken by our team and will be hand-picked for approval. If your question is chosen, you will be given the ability to send messages in the channel and will be allowed to ask your question. This will then be answered, once again, by the members of the team and you will be allowed to ask a follow-up question. Your privilages will then be stripped and the next question will be asked. (Many of you will recognise this as the format of "PM" chats after other ARGs). If you cannot make it to the chat please either PM me or post your question in this thread. (If you're lucky it may be answered before the chat). Afterwards a chat-log will be posted for those people.
The chat will be held April 29th at 7pm BST , please visit this link for time conversions. However, it would probably be a good idea to arrive 15-30 minutes earlier for the pre-chat briefing.

Just as a quick addendum, despite the date we decided to post this, this event IS happening

Sorry Ollie, slight change of plan. We already have all the people we need. Any more people could just slow us down. Hope you understand.

My only worry Cheesy dear is that you won't be able to resist, erm, how shall I put it... your "urges"?!

Yeah... I think your screaming of "NEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" at everyone who enters the room is probably going to slow you down the most.

I think I'll be able to resist for just one night. I'll just take care of my "urges" when I next see them.

Hey there guys. Think we could get a log of this chat? With the new stockist in my town should come a lot of new players. They are going to need all the help they can get to begin PXC.
Thanks

After the chat we'll post a full log for anyone who wasn't able to make it.

Whoops. I need to read better. That was April 29th not March 29th. Maybe I can get some people into the chat. The cards come in, in about a week.

You could maybe get the stockist to do a little advertising to help you in your quest

Probably. I doubt he would be adverse to advertising things that make him money. I'll get some flyers printed for him to put up. Advertising the game itself, the forums, and then the chat. It'll be sweet

It'll be nice to have some "true" newbies, people who've never seen the game before. It'll get us some more interesting questions
