Yes. Once again, I know there's a great deal of excitement about early card releases, but can we not post anything about them until Monday, for the sake of 'the magic"?

Everyone outside of the UK is left out in the cold *again*. Now *that* sux!

The *fair* thing for Mind Candy to do would have been to lock the leaderboard
for a whole week, to give *everyone* an equal chance to get their cards.

personally i think its only fair that people *do* put the scans up - otherwise some are getting an unfair advantage over others. those who dont want to see them dont have to look at those threads, but those who do want to see them - who have ordered with a different company or who couldnt afford to order any at all, may want to have a look, after all, the first solve thing has been sorted with the leaderboard shut til monday - so why not let everyone get working on puzzles together like we used to before the leaderboard even went up?

plus - it has to be noted that it isnt a couple of unscrupulous dealers selling to their mates early this time - its Firebox who have shipped early, so I can only imagine they wanted to give us a weekends head start.

1. I don't have any of the cards yet.
2. I'm away, and will only be back on Friday and Saturday, before going away for a further 2 weeks, so will probably not get any cards for almost a month, so, in effect, I'm in a worse position than you.

Jeepers. Another Wave, another set of complaints.

In this case, I don't think Mind Candy could have done any more to prevent there being some kind of "unfair advantage". Firebox shipped yesterday afternoon, maybe they should have sent them today - but then, what if they hadn't arrived till Tuesday? Can you imagine the bleating?

Wave 4 are out. There is no way to *solve* any of them until whatever time it is that the rampaging hordes will be hammering the website on Monday, desperate to get their drooling, slavering fangs around a "Top Ten Solve OMgZoRZZZ!!!!one!!!!fifty-two!!!!Turnip!!!!"

They have rectified the issue with "pure" packs being available from the day of release.

As far as the cards themselves go, those of us who have received them are stuck with a quandary - post or not? Well, I'm not. Personally, I've been sick and tired of people who put up images, or in the case of this wave, card names prior to the release date. It just spoils the surprise. I didn't post about it this time, because clearly, if people didn't learn that Mind Candy don't want this information spread about in advance by now, they are evidently never going to get it.

However, I can certainly see a very valid point - the reason that Mind Candy wanted to get the cards out, all on the same day, or near as damn it, is because there are BIG KLOOS on them. Or at least we assume they're somehow related to the location of the Cube. So, if you all want to talk about "fairness", the point could be argued that someone who ordered from Firebox has now got a two day head start on finding the Cube. Frankly, that seems to be a pretty far-fetched argument, I think that the clues will take weeks to disseminate - but it's a point that could be made.

Anyways. Consider the logistics of worldwide release of a product - any product. Take video games, they usually release in Japan first, then the US, then Europe. Movies - US first, then the rest of the world. Mind Candy have managed better than the likes of AOL-Time Warner, Sony, Nintendo and Disney. For goodness sakes, get over it.

Next person who complains about "It's not fair. Wah wah wah." is liable to be force-fed their own arms. Seriously. Get a grip. Yeesh.
