[UPDATE] Wave 3 Released! Hey Guys,
Forgive me if there has already been an announcement, however I have not found one so far, so here it goes...
Fireobx have officially released the Wave 3 cards, so get buying!
"Wave 3" cards shipping!
The third wave of 66 cards are now available from Firebox! Orders will contain a random mix of Wave 1, 2 and 3 packs. Each wave has an equal chance (33.333%) of inclusion!
I just hope that I do not get too many Wave1/2 cards though! *shudders*
Regards,
Stefan
P.S The link can be seen here .

Hmm, as tempting as it is, I'd like to hang back and see if I can score one of those 100% wave 3 packs...
Also, new Starter Pack? Whats so new about it?

Yup available for ordering and they'll no-doubt ship tomorrow
Please remember of course that these are going to be the 'mixed' packs containing a selection of 6 from the full range of cards from all 3 waves. Those still hanging on for the 'Wave 3 only' packs will unfortunately have to keep hanging it seems. Hopefully we shall hear more tomorrow.

Does anyone know where one would be able to purchase the "Wave 3 Only" packets of cards?

More than likely Firebox, although if you were clever you could get them off jaffasworld singley might cost a bit more than four packs but you get what you want then! (Not following that advice myself!)

Starter pack version 2 they have a new starter pack, with two packs of wave 1 and 2 cards included.
Late last night, I ordered one of the old starter packs, and I received notice of it shipping a few hours ago. I think they are no longer available.
can anyone tell the difference in the new and old packs except for the number of packs included and the price?

Details of the Original Starter Pack
The new one is:-
Quote:
Starter Pack contents:
*Issue zero of Perplex magazine
It's filled with puzzles and information about the world of Perplex City. Dying to know what Tippy's favourite card is? Want to know a little more about the Cube? Or are you just starting out and you need a quick crash course on what's going on? It's all in here.
*A ten-track CD
Created by the reclusive Perplexian musician, Viard, this album was banned from sale in Perplex City after it was alleged that the music was driving people mad. You'll need to listen very carefully to judge for yourself...
*A 24 space plastic wallet
The pages are designed specifically to fit Perplex City puzzle cards and keep them in mint condition. It's just like the Panini Football album of old - except that it's made of plastic and doesn't contain any amusingly coiffured footballers.
*A Perplex City sticker sheet
Ten stickers showing some of the city's people and places.
*A Perplex City tourist guide
A mini guide created by the tourist office advising you on the best way to spend 24 hours in the City.
*Two packs of Perplex City puzzle cards (Wave 1 and 2)
These enigmatic cards have a stunning array of puzzles -- from mind-bending mazes to devilish codes to crack. On the reverse side of each card is a piece of the map of Perplex City.
So, "TSOL" Leitmark replaced by a set of stickers, the 256 capacity album replaced by a 24 space wallet and two card packs instead of four essentially. Also, cheaper.

Hi,
Haven't posted before, mainly cos I've had nothing useful to contribute. I've even done a search to check that this hasn't been mentioned before so be gentle!
I got a postcard wallet from Muji in Manchester over Christmas. It's exactly the same as my mate's PXC wallet that he got with the original starter pack, only without the logo. As far as I can remember, it cost about a fiver. Might come in handy for anyone who doesn't want to pay loads for a starter pack when all they want is the wallet.
Hope this helps.

For those who are wondering www.zonzab.co.uk are advertising wave 3 only packs and are selling them in lots of 6 packs, at I think a more reasonable price than firebox. I ordered my packs yesterday so when they arrive I'll let people know if they actually are wave 3 only.
Edit: I've just re-read the site and it does say a mixture of all 3 waves if I get any more red duplicates then I really will cry.

I looked at the same retailer too, and noted the following.
Quote:
One Wave 3 Perplex City booster.
The third wave of 66 cards are now available from ZonZab! Orders will contain a random mix of Wave 1, 2 and 3 packs. Each wave has an equal chance (33.333%) of inclusion.
So, pretty much as we surmised. These are Wave 3 packs, including a mixture of Wave 1/2/3 cards.

Delivery Schedule We will normally send your order to you in 7 business days, but please do allow up to 28 days for your order to arrive. International orders are generally received in under 15 working days.
I don't know if this is their standard delivery timescale or not, maybe you could let us know how quickly they come through?

Buying packs of cards is inefficient.

FYI I emailed Firebox yesterday to check if they had any of the v1 starter packs left (I really wanted that leitmark, I was just waiting because I might be coming into some Firebox vouchers soon) and they said no, only v2 from here on in. Am gonna check Travelling Man later though, they had one last time I was in...
Acol - thanks for the info, may be checking out Muji later too!

Pleasure!
On the ZonZab note, I ordered a box from them when the website said that they were Wave 3 only. I also phoned up an Tuesday and they confirmed that they would be just Wave 3. Still waiting for delivery to see what I'll get but I fear the worst!
