Interesting, maybe some kind of electrical flow diagram?
Looks to complex for any kind of flag semaphore type thing

actually, for a silver, this one is pretty straightforward.
Though since I'm not, er, trained, it'll take me a while to 'read' it.

ok, I have been looking for anything similar to this but am coming up blank, i know that i recognise this type of symbol but am failing badly to get anywhere.....so i've now opened the wine, which i'm sure will help
cheers

I've also been looking into diagrams electrical etc... and found nothing that looks remotely like the card.
Cassandra can you confirm what type of diagram it is so we can delve deeper?
I'll keep on lookin on the web in the meantime.

Sure
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Labanotation should get you started. It's dance notation.

Ta muchley!
I would never have thought I'd been learning this kinda stuff just to solve a card ... thats the beauy of the silvers I guess.
Are well lots to read and learn just what angle shall I point my thumbs!
(Thumbs up lol)

After some examination, I found a couple of options that look viable...
The best bet seems to be LED & LINTEL (uts.edu.au) which are softwares that will allow one to replicate the labanotation, and then with that, export it to a 3D animation of a dancer. Seems a bit technical to get running and through the whole process though. It is Windows based.
Otherwise, Dance Forms has a 20 day trial that might do the same thing. It's not clear from the screenshots. Works on Windows and Mac.
Finally, it's clear that a software called LabanDancer exists somewhere that would allow us to model this based on the screenshot from this seminar ; however, LabanDancer may not be publically available from what I can scrounge up. Looks to be Mac only. It seems to be in development by the Dance Notation Bureau (which has great links to resources by the way).

Hey yes I've just been looking at
Now I'm off to dig up a copy of C++ . That reminds me just how much I hate coding are well these things have to be done when there are points at stake.
LED I think looks promising. So I'm heading off there.

I hate coding (or even just compiling) too, so I sure wasn't going to be doing this one. Luckily for me I haven't bought any cards, nor do I have a plan to.
Still, I really want to see the animation that results from this one!

I have been messing about with it, (I have a few friends who can understand this stuff), and it is believed that it should
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
spell letters out with the dancer's body. Or, it may be the flag code one, semaphore (lots of arm waving.) This is because according to the diagram, it is mostly arm movements.
Still, these are mostly theories. Oh well, on with the solving!
EDIT:
Yey, my theory was right!

the only dance notation i've ever seen looks nowt like this, so six had to give me the link to the notation but i've had a look and it seems pretty straightforward, although its a freaky kinda dance.
the symbols to the immediate right and left of the staves are supposed to indicate the movement of the body, but i don't really understand how the left side of the body can stay in place while the right side is moving right. unless they mean those symbols to be for the movement of the arms instead (which should be a gap away from the stave - but makes a lot more sense).
either way i think we're looking at some kinda spelly out thing, or possibly semaphore, because its not any dance steps i know.
also, cassandra, or anyone else who knows the notation, do you know what the tick boxes mean at the left hand side?
anyway, all you guys who are considering coding and programs and stuff for this card, you really just need to get off your arses and do a bit of dancing :P honestly, geeks, the lot of you ;)
edit: heres an animated gif, obv its not 3d so it only really shows the arms but i'll post a kinda map of the floor steps too, they dont make much sense to me either.
p.s. i reeeeeaaally hope i get this card in my wave3 packs, yay for a puzzle involving something i am good at!

Now, this might seem like a really stupid idea influenced by the fact it's 2 AM here (and it may very well be!), but what might those arms say to me if they were holding semaphore flags?

EGo in #syzygy said the first bit would possibly be NPLN in semaphore.
personally, if it *is* semaphore, then i can't see what the footwork would be for.

If it *isn't* semaphore then it could be Arthur Conan Doyle's Dancing Men code, as described here .
