Their first single for the album, Miss Murder, is hitting the airwaves on the 17th. Maybe the next clue will be in the lyrics.

I think I also saw people talk about a video on the AFI forums, that seems promising as well

Well, you never know; they may have even given up on the ARG. Seeing the slowness in updates of the sites for new clues could mean one of two things; A)They're building suspense, or 2) Very Happy They're getting bored of making this thing. Let's hope it's A, cause I haven't gotten enough out of this game yet. Also, TOTALLY off-topic, but doesn't the iscopelvw4, whom we so quickly dismissed as unimportant, look like a code to anyone? If A.F.I. ISN'T getting bored of making this, than maybe they're finally getting into the rougher parts of a trail:cryptology. If any of you think it looks like a certain code, or cipher, then use CipherClerk's encoder/decoder, at http://members.aon.at/cipherclerk/index.html.

good idea ignition, let's start running a list of what we've done so far.
I tried:

ROT13
Base64
Vigenere Cipher (Key: AFI)

Also tried:
Getting an anagram from what I got from the vigenere

It's on the top of my list of things to buy after Warped Tour tix so I can see AFI live.

Right now, they're about half-way through the 'game,' according to Jade(He being the guitarist for the band if you didn't know). I've been a member of that board for a very long time, so I've been keeping track of it, too. Smile

ok, sorry to burst your bubble, but what self respecting (and well paid) punk band would make their site look like that? And why Toronto? It doesn't make alot of sense

And it was made in '05, I imagine that the site (if any) we're looking for is from '06

You never know, though. Being a cheesy style of web-design just makes it seem more suspicious to me. I mean, have you ever seen a site THAT empty, and THAT cheesy? It's mind-boggling. Of course, I could also just be acting like a retard. You never know.

The "staging" message is just some automatic thing.

Here's a completely unrelated website with the same message:
http://hustlinggourmetchef.com/

Anyway, this is pretty off-topic, but here's a 30 second clip of their new single if anyone wants it:

EDIT:
New update this morning. Charlotte has just added some new friends to her Myspace...and their names are the names on the menu!

Beleive me, I've seen sites alot cheesier. That's a typical site that somebody who didn't know what they were doing that well did in a short period of time.

And no, you're not acting like a retard, it's good that you're trying to find something

*groan*

Ok, I've tried:

Simple Substitution Cipher (key AFI),
Beaufort Cipher (key AFI),
Beaufort/Vignere Variant Cipher (key AFI),
Della Porta Cipher (key AFI),
Gronsfield Cipher (key, you guessed it, AFI),
and GROMARK Cipher (yeah, AFI again.).

AND NONE OF THEM HAD ANY COHERENT WORDS! I didn't get anything with these, so maybe it's just a wild goose chase with ciphers. I mean, with me and Audioslave's attempts at deciphering, we have tried 9 different ciphers. AND I guess it's pretty obvious that the "staging" message is nothing, so we have no leads. *groan* If AFI doesn't give us any new leads, I'm gonna strangle my web-browser in an attempt to get their attention.

EDIT:Also, on a slightly unrelated note, I tried playing the Miss Murder clip backwards, and nothing came of it. Just a heads-up so nobody wastes their time on trying to play it backwards.

Cool. My knowledge of codes is limited, thanks.

I'm not really sure what else we should do with this..

I think the new myspaces may have something, but other than that...

I think the most likely to contain any relevant info would be Georgia's, seeing as how it might be a refrence to Miss Murder (floating woman's mask in the water, seemingly to represent death, I dunno, maybe it's just me)
