I think this one is quite poor, as the difficulty seems to be whether you stay in the south of england (guessing). I still have no idea despite the clues above, and so far search hasn't been my friend either.

It is a national magazine but if you haven't seen the billboards or adverts (which, living in the countryside, had escaped my attention) then it's next to impossible. Thankfully someone took pity and told me the answer, but that does kind of take the fun out of it a bit.

If you pop to your local WH Smiths, then you'll quickly recognise that the logo of this magazine is in the same format as (what I assume) the card looks like.

Clue to type of magazine:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's a bit like Time, New Statesman, New Scientist, etc. Glossy, tabloid sized, weekly.

Crossword clues to title:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The first three digits of this number add up to ten.
Add the tact missing from your fused notations, and you'll exclaim as the fog starts to clear... (1, 3, 1, 4 for one nine-letter word.)

The discussion on this card has surprised me,
I didn't realise that the

adverts were so localised. I have seen lots of those adverts in various places.
I guess MC was thinking they were more common.

I've never seen the adverts either. I got it from 1) the red masthead being distinctive and a good 'ad' for the magazine and 2) being in subscription marketing Laughing

I'm with Fuseunderground - I thought these ads were pretty common in the UK. But then again, I've mainly seen them in London and on the South-East commuter lines into the capital, so I imagine they're mainly aimed at city slickers and the like.
