Hey Miles, that story is becoming a film.
Perhaps IMDB will have more on the film itself?

It's already been made and is probably out on dvd already. I'm going to blockbuster today to see if they have it. It looks awesome.

MirrorMask is an incredible film, 100% eyecandy, courtesy of Neil Gaiman, author of the "Sandman" comics.
The film is like Cirque de Soleil meets photoshop. Simply amazing.
If the film "What Dreams May Come" was performed by the Cirque de soleil crew, you'd have MirrorMask.
Rent it.

I'm gonna email Keymaker and see if he'll part with a copy of that song. I'm not optimistic though, I can only find clips on the internet. Most of it is garbled gibberish but there's supposedly a few english words in it. I'll keep trying to get hold of it unless someone already has it...
And yeah, I meant the film it's the OST for... I just realised I didnt post that part.. Haha, sorry about that.

Searching for "Mirrormask" and "Don't let them see you're afraid" (I was thinking it was a line from the movie), I came up with this nifty my space site
http://www.myspace.com/mirrormaskmusic
If you highlight the page, there is some somewhat hidden text that says "It's probably staring you right in the face"
Also found this:
"She seems to be a cat lady," Gaiman said. "She took in a couple, except in her case they're little sphinxes, with incredibly sharp teeth and humans faces...and they destroy things. As Mrs. Bagwell explains, 'Mr. Bagwell didn't like them very much, but they loved him and after he disappeared mysteriously they wouldn't eat anything for a week.'"
Which leads to

<TITLE>His favorite line.... You must now find....</TITLE>
Will he betray you, too? Dont let him follow through
(If you highlight the black page you see this: of course it's in the source code, too)
Well Met.
Your New friend is gone now....
Some REVOLUTION.....
Flashy graph1cs and ho0ks only make you easyer to track.
Dont worry, he's not dead... Just a little sting... More like a pinch...

Source Code reveals this too:
Why do you want to leave? DONT you LIKE PLAing my GAME?
EDIT: We also get. 1//Don't let him 2// see 3//you're afraid.
Wasn't it dont let them last time? I'm not sure...
Looks like the revolution met a nasty end...
Plus "His favourite line - Was not there" is now the title.
Who is it who Keymaker is warning us about though....? Surely he doesnt mean Revolution will betray us, since he's been dealt with..... Scyne perhaps?

To which I would answer: You bait your hook with nothing tasty. The fish won't bite bare metal.I don't like being frustrated without a relief, I don't walk through doors to look at an empty room.
Give me tasty bait to draw me in, or a real treasure map and not the one the street hawkers sell to the tourists.
If you want me to walk through the open door, give me a reason to use my gasoline.
*Edit*
We have a place:

Hope I'm not bursting the bubble, but the "Just a little sting... More like a pinch" is a direct quote from a weav file released as part of and during ILB.

Small nods to games gone by happen a lot in grass roots games. As long as they don't become the method of storytelling and rely heavily on those other stories to tell this one, I would treat it as a "shout out" to those other games.
