I've constructed all the blocks, put them together and I think I've worked out the clue/question:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
starting from the marked T and ending on the marked H you can make out 'the first walker on the quick path'
but I can't seem to get any further than that.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I thought it might be related to the name of Kurt's website so I've tried:
1) the path of least time
2) Fermat's principle
3) Pierre de Fermat
but they're all wrong and now I'm locked out.
Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

ok, I also have this one, and have cut it up...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
put them together into the 6 bits and constructed the cube
and i agree with your findings about the clue but has anyone find more than one way of putting this confounding cube together?

I thought possibly that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The quick path may be the most direct route from start to end, over or through the cube. Nothing but gibberish as far as I can tell.
First walker... Maybe something to do with the first animal with legs?

Just found this website for a program...
http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/models/community/maze-maker-2004
It talks about "walkers" being the bits of program that draw the walls on mazes. Multiple walkers create many sets of walls in a maze, which are not connected to each other.
Also:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are two paths from start to end. One says:
THEFIRSTWALKERONTHEQUICKPATH
The other says:
THEFIRPIMONLKPATH
Which may or may not have any relevance at all.
However, there are two networks of maze walls.

The solve page for this card has the following under notes and corrections:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'Please enter the answer with spaces between the words.'
Which suggests that we are meant to read something directly off the cube. I've already tried 'the first walker on the quick path' and was wrong so I've obviously missed something.

Had another inspired but quite, quite wrong idea:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Quick may be reference to quicksilver, also known as Mercury, who was also a the messenger of the gods known for being a bit speedy. The first space probe that went to Mercury was "Mariner 10". That was not the answer though...

Just to prevent anyone else from wasting money on a text message, Von's incredibly useful clue is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'You'll have to put this one together yourself.'
(Thanks Von - don't know where we'd be without you )
I'm beginning to wonder whether this is another problem card like 'Weighs and Means'.

Yeah, I've tried and failed:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1) Buddha
2) Siddhartha Gautama
3) tantra
- something to do with the quick path to enlightenment (there was logic there somewhere, honest, there was )
Anyway, I've emailed perplexcity.com just to check whether there is a problem with the card.

Ok i give how the heck did you construct these pieces into anything?!
Do i cut out all the black lines? Do i just fold till i find a combo that works?
How many squares per side of the cube? is it even a cube at all?
i came up with 112 letters. but thats not divisible by 6, so ... it cant be a cube right?
You guys breezed by that part. Im definitely stuck on construction.

Duh. Forget it.

cut black lines, fold it so all colors have their own side.

You need to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
cut out the six shapes, cut along all the thick black lines and fold where each colour meets another. This will make 6 shapes on which every face is one solid colour. These fit together to make a cube - each face has 9 squares and is monochrome. There's a red, orange, yellow, green, dark blue and purple side - the light blue appears to be a red herring. The thick white lines represent the borders of the maze once it's all been put together.

pictures I'm not sure how to spoilerize jpeg file attachments - so apologies for including a zip file here - it seemed the only safe way. I want to contribute to the forums but don't want to spoil things for those who are looking for hints rather than answers.
Anyway the file contains three pictures
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
one of the six constituent parts of the cube and
two of the cube once assembled.
I can only find one way to assemble the cube, therefore assume that the text already posted is the only text that can be read from the cube directly.
At least I now have a rather quirky puzzle paperweight

Just to knock one more idea which has not been touched upon
Has anyone thought of using #244 Syzygy Cube as a base for idea/answer finding as the two look to be relativly similar?
