Nice way to trap your thinking. You gonna put holes in your little box
so your creativity doesnt shrivel up and die?

I think her point was that the phrase is a rather meaningless trite pile of wanky wank-mainly used by wanky wanks who get excited by noise clips in power point presentations.

EDIT: Poor grammar

To UnFiction's gentle readers, I apologise for the generally unhappy tone of this post, and would have preferred to put it into a PM, but as our little friend here simply seems to get off on his/her habit of posting this kind of rubbish under a guest account, and will not log in, I'm unable to. However, I'm not of the opinion that simply because people think that they are "untouchable" behind the perceived anonymity of the internet, that they should be allowed license to use it to attack others. I appreciate that "X" clearly has "issues" - possibly wasn't hugged enough as a child, or maybe hugged a little too much, maybe he feels inadequate because when body parts were handed out, he got short-changed, we shall probably never know - however, I've got no time for someone who firmly believes that because life has dealt them a poor hand, they should have some right to make others miserable in an effort to somehow make themselves feel better at their expense.

The faint of heart might want to turn back at this point.

I dont log in my registered account for one reason, I dont want to deal with you PM'ing me for your bullshit.

Leave people alone. If you dont have something constructive to say dont say anything... Complaining on these boards is not useful. And hell im breaking my own thought process by complaining about you.

So i will stop. ... Sorry people i cant help tame this board, nothing will. People are just cruel and easily irritated. No solution. Just deal.

Yes. Both from the same hypocritical coward. Why don't you do everyone a favour, "X" and go troll some other board? I'll even say please if I have to. Frankly, at this point, most of us are just of the opinion that we'd prefer you to be in a sealed box. Preferably one without airholes.

You bring absolutely nothing to the forums apart from your whining, trolling and victim mentality. It's really...hrm...rather sad. I'd recommend that you seek professional help, because you seem to have some real issues that you need help with. Whilst we're a diverse bunch here at UnFiction, I don't know if this is really an appropriate place to work out your problems.

I'm certain that you'll try and come back with some biting comedic gem, but perhaps you could just drop it into a PM to me, rather than cluttering the boards further with your negative vitriolic garbage. If you need a hint on where to find it, your spine is usually found running down the centre of your back. In your case, just find your "mouth" and work upwards from there. Have a lovely day.

Lots of love,
J

Okay, people. ENOUGH!

Trying to lever this back to something vaguely resembling the original topic, I think someone suggested the end of this puzzle might be when the new issue comes out. Looking back, that should be anytime soon, assuming the mag is monthly.

So, with any luck, we should soon be put out of our misery regarding the elephant/lightbulb debate. Hooray!

Point. Actually, I have the new issue lying on my bed as I type. Let me go look through it Razz

EDIT: Okay, so firstly, it was actually on my floor NEXT to my bed. Secondly, though, and more important, upon skimming through this month's issue I find absolutely nothing enlightening, not even a list of contest winners or something similar. Nobody even wrote any letters to the magazine (at least not that they published) regarding the ad. So who knows?

I'm guessing that a long Easter bank holiday weekend is probably going to screw with the Academy's post, if indeed the release of the next issue is the closing date.

Either that, or the answer is "drunken bear with a pint", and Gibbet is now sat there in his new Academy post laughing at us all.

P.S Chris, Juxta... you're both bonkers. But entirely right. Very Happy

Our favourite brain has made a reappearance, but this time in the Sunday Telegraph puzzle spread.

It's been modified with a 'start' and 'finish' at appropriate points...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This may mean that the answer is not elephant, I'm sorry to say.

That seems to indicate that the
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"lightbulb"

answer is the most likely one to be correct thus far, no?

Well yes. But I think a lot of us are holding out for "drunken bear with a pint".

I had a quick browse of the latest issue while at an airport yesterday and couldn't see anything in it, I was going to go back and pick up a copy and forgot Sad Oh well, if someone who actually lives in the US could get a copy and look through it more thoroughly then I'm sure we would all be greatful.

The last few posts had me thinking that I could look through my copy of CGW, but then I realized that the last issue never showed up here! I swear the subscription has not run out... Arg!! I guess I'll have to wait patiently for someone else to enlighten us or *gasp* go buy copy. Rolling Eyes

Right, so I just finished reading through my latest issue of CGW much more thoroughly than I did for my last post (i.e. actually reading it cover-to-cover, rather than skimming). Unfortunately, I see absolutely nothing worthwhile or clue-like, even in the ads.

Sorry, guys! Maybe someone will find something I've missed...
