Just some random ideas, Looking at the paranormal journal, in the call for papers sec. These are obviously topics that interest him, especially stonehenge.( He wrote a article on the topic already). Also the mayan prophecies say that man was created 4 times and brought destruction to his race 4 times. One last note, He also shows interest in orion theory, osiris is a constellation in orion. Dont know if this will lead anywhere but thought it might help .

 		Can anyone make out what it says on Phillip's copy of Leo's CV, next to the line with "Jane Harrisburg"? It looks like "1:30 10/16" to me.

Did Phillip go out yesterday to find Leo and punch his face in? Smile

To expand on the mayan belief system about man being created four times, this is historic fact. The mayan calander and belief system was cyclical, they believed in the begining being means to end and visa versa. They believed that they were living in the fourth creation of man, and that the world would end in December 2012, then starting over with the fifth creation. This ties in greatly with the plot in the Matrix involving the cyclical recreation of the new matrix after the subsequent matrix comes to an end. It seems this storyline follows the signs preparing for the end of the current matrix, following the movies story line greatly.

I think he has an appointment with Jane Harrisburg at 1:30 on 10/16 (in cairo? who th' hell knows, tho he is definetly travelling) to find out more about our good friend the doctor Leokane

Jesus, that's a little freaky to me.. I was doing research on some aspect of this ARG (I think it may have been a google search on "Nullam Est" and prophecy, or something) and landed on some website discussing the predicted end of the world, labeled something like "endtime2012" or something (that wasn't the exact deal).

ok, not REALLY freaked out, just impressed with the amount of research thast went into this whole little pasttime we've been enjoying (Read: Beating Our Heads Against).

but
does is bother anyone that pgairden does NOT work for metacortex, yet has a metadex and that is supplied BY metacortex? is this going to just to have to be suspension of disbelief in order to make it through the game?

It's a valid point that suggests the following:

1) Beth is involved enough in developing MetaDex that she has influence over who is allowed to beta test. That could mean that she is a MetaDex developer, or just has sway with the developers (friends with them). Could Beth have admin access to other MetaDex accounts? Probably not given the things people write about her in there. Or maybe she's playing a 'deep game' and they don't realize just how much she knows. Beth's recent switch in how she uses the internet to disseminate information (her little boxes mailing list versus via html before) suggests she has a sense that MetaCortechs might just be looking at her electronic correspondance.

2) This is almost a corollary to the above point: We know people at MetaCortechs are keeping an eye on Beth (see stuff in mlo's and katgirl's DexTops). Could it be that they were especially receptive to having Phillip as a beta tester because they want to keep an eye on the complete correspondance between Beth and Phillip? In Katherine's notes on Beth, she identifies all the sources of emotional support that Beth has (mother, Phillip, Laika) and looks to be starting to eliminate them to put some pressure on Beth (mother no longer an issue? how so? get rid of the dog? that's cold). It makes sense for the nasties at MetaCortechs to want to see what Beth is writing Phillip ... what better way than to give him an email account they can snoop in when they feel like it.

This is worth thinking about some more. I have no doubt that the higher-ups at MetaCortechs can look in people's MetaDexes (if not through simple admin access then perhaps through the obliquely mentioned Gorgon network). It's just too convenient that Beth and Phillip's correspondance uses accounts that are so readily snoopable by MetaCortechs. The ruling lately has been that corporations have the right to look inside any corporate email account, so legality isn't an issue ... not that it would necessarily stop them even if it was. I wonder if any MetaDex user thinks their DexTop is truly private ... I suppose that some do, look at the things they store in there.

I always thought that Metacortex was probably looking for beta-testers and Beth offered Phillip a chance to do that by signing him up... I never gave it any thought really, but it IS kinda weird... it COULD suggest some kind of connection between Phillip and MetaCortex. Up till now we assumed Phillip was connected to MetaCortex through Beth, but it can also be the other way around: they got to know eachtother because they are both linked to MetaCortex in some way...

But, on the other hand, for all we know there are tons of other users on Metadex, both MetaCortex-employee's and externals... I guess we'll never know...

 		I am Kind of still thinking Phillip is really Stone Jefferys , head of security for Metacortex. The pics are way too similar. In any case, Maybe the gorgon network is tied to metadex, it could be a master account that lets you snoop on all the emails in and out of the system. A master login, so to speak. Just a thought..
