I have no idea what you were supposed to do for this puzzle, as I couldn't understand the instructions -- one space away? I just kept clicking and all the spots went away and I got to the question.

You click on one spot and then on any one of the 'highlighted' spots (which are only ones with 1 empty hexgrid space between it and the selected spot). When you do, the two selected spots move into the space between them and merge. The goal is to select them in such a way that the multitude of spots reduce down through merging into just one spot.

... which, granted, is pathetically easy.
Here's hoping they get a bit more challenging as we go on.

Well, in the UK you don't pay taxes for prize wins...
The USA taxes prizes, and at the Luxury tax rate (about 1/4 to 1/3 of the total value). If you can't pay the tax you can't claim the prize. Which is why some shows have a mix of prizes and money. That way you have some cash to pay the government.

Okay, I just did it again. The second time I actually had to figure out what you were meant to do. The first time I was literally just clicking dots randomly and I never got the "no more pairs" message.

Look at each of the character pages. 3) At the far right on each character frame there is what turned out to be the turned-up corner of a page. Click and drag left, the page pulls back and it reveals another image and a sequence of symbols from that tool bar. Click the symbols in that sequence and you get another movie clip.
For some reason, I can't get the page to stay open/flipped once I drag it across... as soon as I let go of the mouse button, it closes again. Tried in both IE and FireFox.

Yeah, it never stayed open for me either, so I guess it's not intended. Kind of a pain to keep "clicked" while you're trying to figure out the backward text.

The text on the pulled-aside section is the same for each character; it is just filler text (like the background wallpaper).
The symbols are used a bit later after you solve the gallery puzzle.

No, there is [was] different text (the backwards writing) and as I recall at least one had no text at all.
Well - you are right the background is still there (and not legible). The backward text that was there when I did my earlier explorations (which WAS larger and legible) is gone...

I hope they get harder.

Shiven, don't know what to tell you... working fine for me. Try a different browser, maybe?

It's a symbol sudoku with a twist - no repeats in each row, or in each of the colored areas.
