Hello There

Hi everyone, as you can probably tell I m a newbie.

Got into Perplex City through the Daily Telegraphs Algebragrafitti puzzle and have been rapidly drawn in - I m reading voraciously to catch up.

Most intriguing it all is too.

Hi. I've been playing since late Jan I reckon but have only just got round to introducing myself. I've never done one of these before so please excuse this poor etiquette and put it down to ignorance! Embarassed I've been concentrating mainly on the puzzle cards and trading them and have about a million swaps it seems - I reckon if I find the cube (no chance) it'll only actually cover the amount I will have spent on cards by the end. The cards are great fun but am currently totally out of my depth with the advanced cryptography/maths/computing that is seemingly required for the last 3, so can't wait for Wave 3 to come out. Have been using the time to catch up on the main game and finding the Wiki particularly helpful. Unfortunately don't have a computer that works at home so have to sneak in updates during work. Hoping to join in on the boards when Wave 3 is out and when I've caught up on the shenanigans with Cymbalisty's death, goings on in Anjsbourg and the meancing 3P! That's quite enough from me so good luck to all you cube hunters out there.

Thought I'd better say hello since I've started posting.

We began playing at Christmas, our user name in the game / trading site is astro_random, but it's only me here as I'm a forum whore and she's not! We live in London, where I'm a freelance hack writer and occasional politician.

We're loving the cards, though often feel disappointed how a tricky looking puzzle that we were looking forward to spending days on actually collapses in minutes when faced with Google / Wikipedia. Favourite card so far was probably Sadako Sasaki, which we stayed up until well past 2am working on. The results of our work are still on a shelf, next to the paper cubes I made while solving Syzygy Cube.

The ARG aspect of it is a bit bewildering, though we're catching up. Swamping the PXC police was fun, even though when I got through on the phone line to report a stolen bear suit Mind Candy played it with such seriousness that I suddenly got scared I'd phoned the real police by mistake and hung up...

Personally, I think it woz Anna wot done it. Never trust a person who stands to benefit from the removal of the current regime...

Very Happy Hello, all. My husband and i just started last week and we are hooked! I'm reading like mad trying to get caught up. Hoping to be able to participate in active puzzles/mysteries real soon. This is awesome.

Guess I also should introduce myself, since I've been posting random thoughts...

Hi! Found you all through a D&D website's forum, and I've now spent $120 on cards (yes, I'm American, don't hold it against me Razz), and I've already intrigued a friend by them as well...

Hope to be helping you all on the Wave 3 stuff, even though I'm not sure when we're slated to get them. All of my cards read "LE Prerelease wave 0.5," so I don't know where that puts InSound's inventory in the scheme of things.

Hello, all. Figured I'd pop my head in and say hi. Found out about PxC through CGW's ad last month. Now $40 down, and almost ready for my first leitmark (I think, if I've done my math right), so you could say I'm a bit hooked at the moment.

Hello everyone, it seems PXC has become the couples' pastime of choice...intriguing.

Erm, Rand0m, you wouldn't happen to be the current leader of the Conservative party would you?

Hah! A post introducing a new person in the Introductions board. I bet you guys didn't see that one coming! Anyway, I'm just a lowly Canadadian trying to jump headfirst into the brick wall you people have so lovingly named Perplex City. After all, if you're going to start, you may as well do it a year late!

Yay! More Canadians! Tim Hortons doughnuts are definitely the sort of brain food needed to help find the Cube. And welcome to everyone else too! Wink
