I would say so, from all the other imformation between beth and phil.. and the email is in response to James and what was going on betwen her and James avery and 'but is this finally the proof you needed that he was a bad risk?'

Also, James went into hiding with his x. ( i think that metadex email is covered by another email now tho )

I have a few theory's..

1. marcus is trying to track down James because James has acess to all of their work or knows too much about it.

3. The labyrinth project was a program used to breakinto accounts etc and James used it to clear his credit record and any trace of him.

4. The Labyrinth project is trying to breakinto into James Avery's files at metacortechs ( something he may have pasword protected or encrypted )
and marcus is trying to track him down to obtain the pasword etc.

Plus, if they find his x ( he went into hiding with her ).. they find him.

I had to take out thery number 2 because it wouldnt let me post it =((

2. I think James and Beth had an affair, and all of this James stuff is bringing back painful memories. I don't think Beth is chasing him down, because the docs alone are causing her much pain.
